🏆SANTOSH LAHKAR TROPHY – JUNIOR BOYS U-17 INTER-DISTRICT FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 🏆

A significant milestone for junior football in Assam! 💚

The Santosh Lahkar Trophy – Junior Boys U-17 Inter-District Football Championship has made a strong comeback, bringing together young footballers from across the state.

For the first time, the Assam Football Association conducted the championship through a structured Zonal Qualifying Round followed by the Final Round, creating a wider and more competitive pathway for young players to showcase their talent.

A special appreciation goes to the eight Zonal Committees of the Assam Football Association for their tremendous efforts in successfully conducting the qualifying stages. Our sincere gratitude also goes to all the District Sports Associations (DSAs) that participated and contributed to making this championship a success.

🏆 Congratulations to Lakhipur DSA on being crowned champions of the Santosh Lahkar Trophy. Your achievement reflects the talent, hard work, discipline and dedication of the young footballers and the entire team behind them.

👏 A special word of appreciation to Tinsukia DSA for hosting and organizing the Final Round in such a professional manner. The excellent arrangements, smooth conduct of matches and the opportunity to witness junior football under floodlights made the championship a memorable experience.

This championship represents more than a trophy. It represents the collective effort of Assam’s football family to strengthen the youth football pathway, expand competitive opportunities and identify the next generation of football talent from every corner of the state.

From the eight zones to the final stage this has truly been a collective achievement.

Thank you to every DSA, Zonal Committee, match official, coach, player, volunteer and stakeholder who played a part in bringing the Santosh Lahkar Trophy back to the Assam football calendar

Celebrating the spirit of grassroots football with the U-7, U-9, U-11 & U-13 Grassroots Football League, held on 22nd & 23rd August 2026 at APRO Training School Ground, Jalukbari, Guwahati.

Calling all eligible footballers!

The **Assam Football Association** is conducting an **Open Trial** on:

📅 **16 August 2026**
⏰ **Reporting Time: 7:00 AM**
📍 **Naharkatia DSA Playground, Near Naharkatia Police Station, Naharkatia**

👤 **Eligibility:**
Players born between **1 January 2011 and 31 December 2012**, both dates inclusive.

📋 **Players must bring:**
• Aadhaar Card with **DigiLocker verification**
• **AIFF CRS ID – Mandatory**
• Complete the **Registration Form** by scanning the QR code provided in the official notice.

🌏 **Open to eligible players from within Assam and players currently playing outside Assam.**

The 26th Gobinda Ram Mour & Banarashi Devi Memorial All Assam Women (Senior) Inter-District Football Championship 2026-27 concluded successfully at Bilasipara, celebrating another remarkable chapter in the growth of women's football in Assam.

Karbi Anglong DSA emerged as the Champions, defeating Dibrugarh DSA 2-0 in a thrilling final to lift the coveted title.

The Assam Football Association extends its heartfelt congratulations to the champions, runners-up, match officials, participating districts, District Sports Association, Bilasipara, volunteers, sponsors, and football lovers whose unwavering support made this championship a grand success.

Together, we continue to strengthen the future of women's football in Assam.

The wait is over!

The Assam Football Association is pleased to unveil the Official Competition Calendar for the 2026–27 Season, outlining the roadmap for football competitions across the state.

From Inter-District Championships and Zonal Competitions to the Assam Youth League, Assam Women's League, Assam State Premier League, and Assam Futsal Championship, the calendar marks another exciting season dedicated to nurturing talent and strengthening football across Assam.

We request all District Sports Associations, clubs, academies, players, coaches, referees, and stakeholders to take note of the tentative schedule and begin their preparations accordingly.
