T20 - Mumbai VS Delhi

Rishabh Pant smashed the fastest fifty against Mumbai in IPL history when he reached landmark off only 18 balls. He walked in to bat at No.5 for Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday and took on a strong Mumbai attack only the way he could. He finished on 78 not out off 27 balls as Delhi Capitals scored 213 for 6 of 20 overs.

The record for the fastest fifty against Mumbai Indians was held by MS Dhoni. In 2012, Dhoni had scored a fifty off 20 balls against Mumbai.

T20 Match 2 : Russell cameo help Kolkata beats Hyderabad by 6 wickets

Andre Russell smashed an explosive 49 to spoil David Warner's scintillating IPL comeback as Kolkata pulled off a dramatic six-wicket win over Hyderabad at The Eden Gardens on Sunday. Needing 53 runs from last three overs, the powerful Jamaican changed the course of the match with his big-hitting against Siddharth Kaul, creaming off 19 runs from that over. He retained the strike by taking a smart single and continued his assault on Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who too bled 19 runs in the penultimate over as Kolkata sealed the 182-run chase with two balls to spare. Russell hammered four sixes and an equal number of boundaries in run sequence that read 6-6-1-4-1-4-6-4-0-6-1. Youngster Shubman Gill (18 not out) completed the formalities with two sixes off Shakib-Al-Hasan.

India bowl out New Zealand for 243 runs!

New Zealand put up their biggest score in the series in the third ODI at The Bay Oval to try and keep the five-match ODI series alive. With a 119-run stand between Ross Taylor and Tom Latham, New Zealand bounced back from another poor start to score 243 runs. Latham struck a fifty while Taylor was stopped in his tracks from a century to be dismissed for 93 runs.

Impact of Big Threes of India and New Zealand:-

With the less than five months away, the 50-over contests of late have assumed a larger significance in context. Teams are trying out various combinations in the last few games remaining in order to zero in on their best possible XIs ahead of the World Cup. England have been the torchbearers of the new wave in ODI cricket and their fortunes in the format turned a corner in a span of four years. From missing out on a spot in the quarterfinal in the previous edition of the tournament in Australia and New Zealand, they currently stand as the favourites to win the title.

Two teams that could give England a run for their money in the - on the basis of current form - are India and New Zealand. In the ODIs played since January 2017, India and New Zealand have the best success rate behind that of only England. And the five-match ODI series between the two starting later this week promises to be a mouth-watering contest. The conditions in New Zealand mirror that of England closely - small boundaries and flat pitches - would give us a fair indication of where the two teams stand with regard to their chances in the World Cup.

India vs Australia 3rd ODI: Vijay Shankar debuts; India make three changes

Allrounder Vijay Shankar will make his one-day international debut for India in the 3rd ODI against Australia at MCG. The allrounder, who replaced Hardik Pandya in the squad, was handed his maiden cap by coach Ravi Shastri in front of the team. He will replace Mohammed Siraj in the line-up, who proved to be quite expensive in Adelaide on his ODI debut for India.

Shankar has played 5 T20Is for India in which he has taken 3 wickets and given away 154 runs at an average of 51 and an economy rate of 9. With the bat, he has scored 17 runs in 1 innings.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) Tuesday announced USA Cricket as its 105th member.

The development is a historical milestone for the governing body established in 2017 to unify and develop the cricket community in the United States following the expulsion of USACA, the ICC said.

USA Cricket's application to become the 93rd Associate Member in accordance with the ICC Constitution was approved by ICC Members following the Membership Committee's recommendation to the ICC Board late last year, and is implemented with immediate effect.

As a Member of the ICC, USA Cricket is now eligible to receive funding in accordance with the ICC Development Funding Policy and can sanction domestic and international cricket in the United States.
