The International Floorball Federation (IFF) has announced they will suspend the National Floorball Federation of Russia (NFFR) from all IFF activities, including international floorball tournaments as the World Floorball Championships.

Reason for this major operation are multiple debts that still needed to be paid to the Slovak Floorball Federation and the IFF. As the IFF puts it: “The NFFR has acknowledged the debts, but not been in position to pay them.”

IFF’s central board and executive committee decided to suspend the NFFR. This means no Russian player can make any international transfer, Russian referees can’t be exchanged anymore and the Russian team lost its registry for the WFC 2018.

The IFF has promised the NFFR the suspension can be made undone if the debts are paid.
