Do you know..??
why many people in Taekwondo are unable to perform high kicks? It is because they do not stretch their inner legs—or if they do, they hold the stretch for too short a time and use incorrect technique
Inner Leg Mobility Exercises
* 1. Butterfly Stretch: Sit upright, bring the soles of your feet together close to your body, and gently press your knees down toward the floor to open up the groin.
* 2. Wide-Leg Seated Forward Fold: Sit with your legs spread wide, keep your spine long, and hinge forward from your hips toward the floor.
* 3. Prone Frog Stretch: Lie on your stomach, bend your knees at 90 degrees, and slide them outwards to let your hips sink down toward the mat.
* 4. Seated Straddle: Sit up tall with your legs extended wide apart to the sides, holding an upright position to stretch the inner thighs.
* 5. Seated Straddle Forward Fold: From the seated straddle position, reach your arms and torso straight forward between your legs to deepen the stretch.
* 6. Standing Side Lunges: Stand tall, step wide to one side, and bend that knee while keeping the opposite leg completely straight with your foot flat.
* 7. Kneeling Deep Side Lunges: Come down to one knee, extend the opposite leg straight out to the side, and sink your hips back to stretch the adductors.
* 8. Standing Side Lunge (Wide Stance): Take an extra-wide standing stance, shift your hips back and down to one side while keeping your torso upright and hands clasped.
* 9. Cossack Squat Variation: Lower yourself into a deep squat on one leg while extending the other leg straight out, pointing the extended toes up toward the ceiling.
* 10. Side-Lying Adductor Lift (On Elbow): Lie on your side supported by your elbow, rest your top leg behind or on a stable block, and lift your bottom leg straight up against gravity.
* 11. Kneeling Wide Knee Abduction: Start on all fours, spread your knees as wide as comfortably possible, and keep your hands planted directly under your shoulders.
* 12. Side-Lying Leg Raise: Lie completely on your side and raise your top leg straight up toward the ceiling, engaging your outer hips and thigh muscles.
