Pain is temporary and has its limits, but we runners—and our running—are limitless! Non-runners often ask me, “Does it hurt after running?” I usually end up telling them, “Pain has lost its virginity !”
It was a wonderful early start to the day, beginning with 21 minutes of Prajna Yoga alongside Prarthana, complete with an amicable conversation. Later, I ventured out for my daily dose of a 7-miler. It felt great and effortless in the nice weather, running negative splits with the fastest kilometer at 4:21 min/km and an average heart rate of 143 BPM. I followed up with a cool-down process consisting of 10 minutes of Kabbalah Yoga, 25 pushups, and a 1 km bike ride.
Gratitude to the universal forces!

Why do we run? 🏃‍♂️🪞

Perhaps running is not just a journey of the body…
perhaps it is a spiritual mirror.

Every run quietly reveals something about us — our patience, our discipline, our resistance, our adaptability, and most importantly, our ability to remain centred while life keeps moving around us.

After a good night’s sleep, the morning began with 22 minutes of Prajna Yoga with Prarthana. 🧘‍♂️❤️

Then came the seven-mile journey.

Nature seemed to have washed itself clean with the night’s rain. 🌧️🍃 The air was fresh, the surroundings were beautiful, and the body felt ready.

There were obstacles along the way. But the path did not need to be perfect for the run to continue. The body adjusted. The mind adapted. The rhythm returned.

And perhaps that is the deeper lesson of running:

The obstacle is not always something to overcome.
Sometimes, it is simply something to flow around.

The watch recorded a best pace of 4:27 min/km, with an average heart rate of 144 BPM. But beyond numbers, the real measurement was how the mind felt within the movement — calm, present and grateful.

Running reminds me that the real race is not against another runner, another pace, or another day.

It is a conversation with oneself.
A reality check.
A moving meditation.
A mirror without judgement.

And every time we return from a run, perhaps we know ourselves just a little better.

🙏 Gratitude to the universal forces that make this journey possible.

7 MILES. POWERED BY FASTING. 🏃‍♂️🔥

Today’s seven-miler was collectively powered by five fasting family members—and what a beautiful way to experience the strength of the body, mind and spirit. 🙏

The day began with a good sleep, followed by 25 minutes of Prajna Yoga with Prarthana 🧘‍♂️❤️. After that, I ventured out for my seven-mile run.

Honestly, the mind was slightly doubtful. 24 hours of fasting and then running seven miles on a sunny day—would the body cooperate?

Eventually, the spirit answered: Just go.

And what followed was an eye-opener in many ways.

1️⃣ The beauty of the fat-burning system 🔥
We often assume that a run needs an energy gel or some external fuel. But today reminded me that the human body is remarkably intelligent. In a fasting state, the body can tap into its stored energy reserves.

For me, this was a powerful reminder that a reasonably paced half marathon can potentially be supported without taking in calories during the run, provided the body is appropriately trained and the conditions are suitable.

2️⃣ Surprisingly low sweat rate 💧
Despite running seven miles on a sunny day, I noticed considerably less sweating than usual—even though my water intake was also very limited. Another reminder that the body behaves differently when the metabolic state changes.

3️⃣ Ultimately, it’s a mind game 🧠
The biggest surprise came towards the end. I wasn’t expecting the final lap to be the fastest.

And yet, the last stretch came down to 4:12 min/km. ⚡️

What made it even more interesting was an average heart rate of just 144 BPM for the run. ❤️

That was perhaps the biggest lesson of the day:

Sometimes the body says, “I can’t.”
The mind says, “Maybe.”
But the spirit says, “Keep going.”

Overall, a wonderful seven-miler—powered not by a gel, but by fasting, faith and the incredible intelligence of the human body. 🙏🏃‍♂️🔥

Pace & Grace. ✨

“When you empty yourself completely, nature finds the space to fill you with everything you were searching for.” 🌧️🌿🕉️

That was the mantra today before I stepped out to run.

The day had already begun with nature touching me—quite literally. ☔️
Raindrops falling gently on my face while I slept on the terrace 🛌.

At 4:30 am 🕟, I changed my place and went back to sleep. After a good sleep, I spent a few beautiful moments with the other 2Ps ❤️ before surrendering myself to the morning.

It was raining slowly… gently… almost meditatively.

And somewhere between the raindrops and the silence, the question wasn’t “How far should I run?”

It became…

“How completely can I surrender to the run?”

I had planned just a 10-miler.

But when the mind stopped calculating and the body stopped negotiating, the run simply kept unfolding…

10 miles became 20 km.

The final lap came at 4:34 min/km, with an average HR of 147 bpm.

No fuel.
No fancy strategy.
No external motivation.

Just fresh air, rainwater, positive aura, breathing, movement and an overflowing love ❤️ for running.

Perhaps running is not always about adding something to yourself.

Sometimes it is about removing everything unnecessary—the expectations, calculations, fears and limitations—until only the runner and the universe remain.

Today, I didn’t feel like I was running through the rain.

I felt like I was being carried by it. 🌧️🏃‍♂️

20 km later, I realised:
The greatest runs don’t happen when you push yourself harder…
they happen when you surrender yourself deeper. 🕉️

Gratitude 🙏 to the universal forces for allowing me to experience yet another beautiful conversation between breath, body, rain and soul. 🌌

Empty the mind.
Open the heart.
Let the universe set the pace.

Pace & Grace. 🏃‍♂️🕉️❤️

🦵 KICK the bed 🛌, HIT the track 🏃, and reach at least halfway to finish any damn job!
That was the mantra 🕉️ of the morning.

These days, weekends seem to be making me a little too lazy and lethargic 😴—thanks 🙏 to all that extra time available!

A typically lazy Saturday start… followed by 23 minutes of Prajna Yoga 🧘 with Prarthana, setting the tone for the day.

Then came the real battle—the mind. 😄
With too many options available, the mind started playing its usual dirty games!

The target 🎯 was simple: just 3 miles, then strength training.

But once the legs started moving, the rhythm took over.
The hesitation disappeared.
The excuses faded.
And the 3-mile target quietly became:

🏃 7-mile run
🏃 + 1-mile cooldown
💪 + 20 minutes strength training

Best lap: 4:24 min/km
Average HR: 141 bpm ❤️

Sometimes, the biggest obstacle isn’t lack of time—it is having too much of it.
When we have extra time, we often waste it. When we have limited time, somehow we find a way.

Don’t wait for motivation. Start moving.
The body follows the first step, and the mind often follows the body.

🙏 Gratitude to Universal Wisdom.

A great chef never serves the same recipe every day. Neither should a runner. 🧑‍🍳🏃‍♂️🔥

After a good night’s sleep 😴, I woke up refreshed to Prarthana’s call and began the morning with our usual 23-minute Prajna Yoga 🧘‍♂️ & meditation.

The plan was simple: 6 miles and done.

But running had a different recipe in mind today! 😄

My body found its rhythm, my energy felt strong, and the weather was perfect 🌤️. So I kept going, turning the planned 6-miler into a 7-mile negative-split run, averaging around 7:15 min/mile.

The final lap came in at 4:20 min/km, with an average HR of 150 bpm. 🔥

It’s a beautiful feeling after a run when you realize you didn’t just complete the miles—you experienced them.

Change the recipe. Feel the flavour. Trust the flow. Keep running. 🏃‍♂️🔥

Pace & Grace.

“You are not a human being, not a runner 🏃—not even only a happy phenomenon!”
This was the identity that got generated somewhere at the beginning of the run! 😊

A timely start to the day at 4:30 AM 🕟, after a good night’s sleep 😴.
Completed 21 minutes of Prajna Yoga 🧘‍♂️ with Prarthana, followed by a few additional moments of stillness.

Then ventured out for a 7-miler easy run 🏃. The weather was good 👍🏽, though I was a little sceptical about the slippery route. Thankfully, everything turned out beautifully!

Negative splits → last km @ 4:10 min/km ⚡
Average HR → 142 ❤️

Nothing extraordinary was forced—just an easy, controlled run that gradually came alive. A beautiful confidence booster and another reminder that Pace & Grace can coexist.

🙏 Gratitude to the universal forces for this amazing run and for simply allowing the body, breath and mind to flow together. ✨

🌱 From Running to Gliding… and a Little Singing 🎵

Today, I tried replacing running 🏃 with gliding—and a little singing! 🎶

An early start to the day, close to 3 AM 🕒, began with “The Vegetarian.” An interesting plot twist was the main lady who eventually turned into a tree 🌴—and, surprisingly, into a tree in a handstand pose! 🤸‍♂️

The analogy was fascinating: unlike humans, whose heads are at the top, a tree’s “head” is at the bottom, while its branches become its limbs. 🌳 What an interesting perspective!

After a short 21-minute Prajna Yoga 🧘‍♂️ with Prarthana, I ventured out for a 7-miler when my body, mind and Garmin were all against it! 😄

But my beautiful ❤️ heart was still supporting me—not to push harder, but to run carefully and mindfully, ensuring I didn’t aggravate the gluteal pain.

So I decided to glide instead of run… and somehow ended up with negative splits, finishing the last lap at 4:23 min/km with an average HR of 145 bpm. 🏃‍♂️💨

And then came the fun part! 🎵
“Jhoom Barabar Jhoom” added the perfect rhythm to the morning. 💃🎶

The cooldown was equally joyful—10 minutes of Kabbalah Yoga 🧘‍♂️, 2 km cycling 🚴‍♂️ and a headstand 🤸‍♂️.

Sometimes, the body says slow down, the mind says stop, but the heart whispers:

“Listen. Adapt. Glide. Enjoy.” ❤️

🙏 Gratitude to the universal forces for these beautiful blessings. 🌌

Pace may change. The joy of movement doesn’t have to. 🏃‍♂️✨

Pace & Grace — my two invaluable components of running 🏃‍♂️❤️
And my ultimate desire is to keep maintaining both!

ये मिस हो जाये ऐसा हो नहीं सकता… और अगर ऐसा हुआ तो ये होने नहीं दूँगा! 😄
This is my usual original dialogue at home 🏠!

Interestingly, I spent the whole night in my dreams at the Isha Foundation Ashram, busy doing multiple things! 😇
Perhaps a last night can of beer 🍺 was trying to overtake my body somewhere in those dreams! 😂 Felt slightly lazy in the morning.

But the day began as usual — 23 minutes of Prajna Yoga 🧘‍♂️ with Prarthana, followed by the planned 7-miler 🏃‍♂️.

The best lap came at 4:23 min/km, with an average HR of 145 bpm. ❤️

The splits were nice, smooth and graceful — exactly how I like my running.

Pace without grace is incomplete.
Grace without pace is incomplete.
Together, they make my running complete. 🏃‍♂️✨

Gratitude 🙏 to the universal forces for another beautiful start to the day. 🌅
