Day 11/20 β 1v1 Conveyor Belt Drill β½π₯
If you want your players to improve their 1v1 ability under fatigue and pressure, this is a must-have drill.
π― Objective
Develop attacking creativity, defensive reactions, quick decision-making, and transition speed in a continuous game-like environment.
π Setup
β
Create two goals. β
Players line up. β
One attacker enters and scores then immediately defends, then the next attacker enters. β
As soon as one duel finishes, the next immediately starts creating a "conveyor belt" effect with almost no rest.
Keep the tempo high to replicate match intensity.
π§ Coaching Points
β Attack with speed and intent. β Positive first touch into space. β Use changes of direction and feints. β Defenders stay side-on and delay before tackling. β React immediately after losing or winning possession. β Encourage quick decisions instead of over-dribbling. β Maintain high intensity throughout every repetition.
π Progressions
β’ Limit attackers to 5β7 seconds to score. β’ Award bonus points for winning possession and counter-scoring. β’ Introduce weaker-foot finishes. β’ Add a recovering defender for extra pressure.
This drill is perfect for grassroots football, helping players improve technical ability, game intelligence, transitions, and competitiveness in one exercise.
