IHCAE is thrilled to announce the inauguration of *Yuva Apada Mitra Training* for NSS volunteers of the State today. The Inaugural Ceremony was graced by Shri T T Bhutia, Chairman for Land Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Sikkim as Chief Guest in presence of ADC Namchi District, Additional Secretary for LR&DM, Administrator IHCAE, OSD IHCAE, officials from IHCAE and SSDMA.
This Training is mainly focused on equipping NSS volunteers with skills to be effective Apada Mitra(Disaster Response Friends).
*Aim & Objectives*: Enhance capabilities in disaster response, community service, and leadership.
This training is led by expert faculties from IHCAE in collaboration with SSDMA, Government of Sikkim to provide opportunities for NSS volunteers to develop crucial skills for community services.
These NSS volunteers are passionate about making a difference and focus on youth empowerment and community resilience.

All Women Cultural Guide Course has kicked off today under INSPIREs Sikkim. This comprehensive program is designed to equip Local Women participants with in-depth knowledge and skills to become expert Cultural Guides of the state.
Core curriculum includes:-
- Explore rich cultural heritage of State.
- Learn about traditions, customs, and local practices.
- Develop communication and guiding skills
- Hands-on experiences and field visits.

EMPLOYMENT NOTICE

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the post of Guest Instructor for Mountaineering Course at Indian Himalayan Centre for Adventure and Eco-Tourism (IHCAE), Chemchey, Namchi District for two months i.e. from 15th Sept to 15th Nov 2025.

The candidates must :

1. be an Indian Citizen.
2. have completed Advance, Search and Rescue and MoI ( Method of Instruction) course with Grade ‘A’ from a recognized institute.
3. be able to undertake classes in English and Hindi.
4. be physically fit to demonstrate mountaineering skills at glacier upto 18000 fts.
