Oil India Limited (Pipeline Services) successfully organized the on 23rd Feb 2025 across three major cities of Assamโ€”Guwahati, Nagaon, and Tezpurโ€”as part of the nationwide Saksham initiative.

In Nagaon, Dr. Smarajit Ojah, Assistant Professor, Geography Department, Nagaon Girls College, and Mr. Benris R Hrangkhol, Forester 1, Nagaon Wildlife Division, were the Guests of Honour. They emphasized the importance of fuel conservation and environmental protection through cycling.

We are very thankful to Oil India Limited for giving us the opportunity to manage this event and to all the participants for all their support.

Deeply saddened to hear the demise of renowned social worker Mukut Bhuyan. Mukut Bhuyan was more than just a name for the people of Nagaon. In his late eighties Mr. Bhuyan used to ride around the town on his bicycle like a energetic youngster. People would often visit his home to seek advice or have an evening chat with him.

We, members of Nagaon Cyclist deeply mourn and pray for his heavenly abode. May his soul rest in peace..

On the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week 2022, the Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd organised a cycle rally namely โ€œCorruption Free India Ride" under the theme "CORRUPTION FREE INDIA FOR A DEVELOPED NATION".

In Nagaon, the event was organised by the Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd Nagaon Branch in collaboration with Nagaon Cyclists

30+ participants participated took part in the ride. They rode around the entire town covering a distance of 15 kms.

At the end of the ride light breakfast and certificate was provided to the participants. Participation was free, hence no fee were collected.
