It's a matter of great pride to be a part of the assessment team of the CII Business Excellence Award 2024 for HEP, BHEL, Bhopal.

HEP Bhopal, is the mother unit of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited since 1956 and has the most varied product range. BHEL is the largest engineering and manufacturing enterprise in India in the energy-related / infrastructure sector and a leading power equipment manufacturer globally.

To understand the Business processes and practices of such a large and complex organisation was challenging as well as enriching.

I express my heartiest thanks to the Team BHEL, Bhopal for their cooperation, arrangements and warm hospitality during the visit. Thanks to Mr G P Baghel, Mr Anurag Shukla, Mr Ravindra Kirar, Mr Nimesh Shah, Mr Tilak and all the team members.

Special thanks to Executive Director Ramanathan S.M. Sir for spending his valuable time with us and sharing views and insights.

It was an honour to work with a very senior and role model assessor Kaushik Merchant. It was an enriching experience to be with the co assessors Mr Rajendran R, Mr Parshuram Shaw, Mr Sanjay Vamburkar and Dr Sabu Augustine.
