Founded in 1969, The Maharashtra Rifle Association is the apex body for the shooting sports in the state of Maharashtra, India, and we manage a shooting complex at the Worli Sea Face, Mumbai, where we have modern ranges of 10mtr, 25mtr and 50mtr. Pistol Shooting one hand, one target, no support.

The 10m Air Pistol is one of the most watched Olympic shooting events with men and women competing separately across 60 qualification shots before the top 8 step into the finals.
And the Mixed Team format adds a completely different dimension one male and one female athlete combining scores for one single medal. Individual performance directly impacts the team result. Every shot counts twice.

India has delivered on this stage and continues to build towards LA 2028.

From Asian Games medals to ISSF World Cups, from Commonwealth Games gold to Olympic podiums Maharashtra has consistently produced shooters who have carried the tricolour with pride on the world stage.
