g the teachings of my guru Shihan Shivaji Ganguly , under whom I had been practicing since 1991 , Kyokushin Kai Karate is the world's STRONGEST & TOUGHEST full contact karate style with more than 12 million followers world wide. Started by our grand-master SOSAI Mas Oyama in the year 1964 who started Kyokushin after learning many different forms of martial arts including Muai Thai , taekwondo , Judo , Shotokan & Goju-ryu Karate. Kyokushin is one of the biggest organization in the world . I have been practicing since 1991 when it was a single organization & been fortunate to train under one of SOSAI's favorite students Shivaji Ganguly who introduced Kyokushin to India in a big way. There are many martial arts group who have started many parts of the world but some masters do not even do their basics right & manage to get a black belt & give wrong training to the society & earn a bad name for martial arts & also injure students. We try to ensure that proper SCIENTIFIC training is provided to everyone so that each one can be fit & strong in years to come. Not only training we also ensure that each one becomes disciplined & a good human being. Our training is not very difficult but is a continuous process to self development which brings Mind Body & our Spirit Together. Under the expert guidance and dedicated training of Sensei Ankur Dey, the Empowerment Academy of Martial Arts, Maharashtra has achieved a remarkable feat at the 9th All India Kyokushin Full Contact Karate National Championship, held in Bangalore on 22nd–23rd August 2026.

Our Maharashtra team proudly produced five National Champions across major categories in fullcontact Kumite showcasing exceptional skill, discipline, fighting spirit, and determination against strong competitors from across India.
This outstanding achievement is a testament to the hard work of our fighters, the relentless training of Sensei Ankur Dey, and the spirit of Kyokushin.

Maharashtra Creates History at the 9th All India Kyokushin Full Contact Karate Tournament. The 9th All India Kyokushin Full Contact Karate Tournament held in Bengaluru on August 22nd and 23rd, 2026, brought together over 300 competitors from across India. Under the expert guidance of Sensei Ankur Dey of the Empowerment Academy of Martial Arts, the 15-member Maharashtra contingent delivered a stellar performance, securing 11 podium finishes, the best result to date for Maharashtra in full contact Kyokushin Karate kumite. Gold medal champions include Janvi Subhash Diwakar (under 18 girls), Ranveir Singh Rana (under 18 boys) , Preksha Pampingle (under 16 girls), Viraat Rana (under12 boys), and Kabir Ahmed Dafedar (senior men's lightweight). Silver medal winners were Inaira Suri (under 16 girls) and Karan Sen Mishra (under 13 boys),
This performance marks Maharashtra's most successful showing in the tournament's history. After the event, Sensei Ankur Dey congratulated all medal winners and participants for their determination, fighting spirit, and commitment, and expressed sincere gratitude to parents, supporters, and tournament organizers for their continuous support.
