At a recent office yoga workshop conducted by Wellintra, our Yoga Instructor Chloe helped the employees of Consultancy firm Oliver Wyman do some Seated Twist Postures.
The seated spinal twist is a powerful pose that will allow relieve back pain, increase flexibility in the spine, improve digestion, and last but not least, increase your mental well being.
Technique:
Sit sideways on your chair. Inhale and lengthen your spine.
As you exhale, twist and grab the edge of the chair back with your hands. Relax your neck and shoulders.
Stay in this pose for 6 - 10 breaths.
Come back to center, then do the pose on the other side.
