Some children don't grow up chasing their dreams.
They grow up chasing approval.
"Bas 2 saal aur mehnat kar lo..."
"Bas yeh exam clear ho jaye..."
"Bas yeh achieve kar lo..."
When love starts feeling conditional, children learn that their worth depends on performance. They become the ones who can't say no, constantly seek validation, and carry the exhausting need to please everyone.
People-pleasing isn't a personality trait. Sometimes, it's a survival strategy learned in childhood.
If this resonated with you, maybe it's time to ask: Are we raising successful children, or children who feel they have to earn love?
