Somaiya College of Engineering are attempting to do what hasn’t been done too many times before-Building a car who’s efficiency is simply unmatched. We’re all aspiring engineers in our respective fields and have come together to make our dream a reality. To design and build a car that can revolutio

nize the concept of mileage and go beyond what cars offer today, all from scratch. We want to take this car to the SHELL ECO-MARATHON held annually and showcase it to the world. We have already reached a milestone with our first car-JUGAAD’13 which is currently India’s most fuel-efficient car giving an astounding mileage of 300 km/pl. However this is just the beginning for us. Inspired with this success, we want to take our level up a notch-starting with our next car which we hope to take to the MARATHON in 2014. Shell Eco Marathon is a competition organized by SHELL group of companies. This competition happens in 3 places around the globe, Amsterdam, Texas and Manila. As India falls in the Asian Continent, we participate in manila, the capital of Philippines. There are 2 categories, Urban Concept and Prototype. We participate in the Prototype category. From representing India on the international stage to achieving milestones in the pursuit of efficiency, our journey has always been driven by the belief that there is always more to build and more to achieve.

As we step into a new term, we carry that spirit forward with a commitment to engineering excellence, greater efficiency and bigger ambitions. We look forward to setting new benchmarks, breaking new records and creating more milestones for India on the international stage.

A memorable day at the Team Eta workshop! ✨

On 10 June 2026, we had the privilege of hosting the Rotary Club and giving them an inside look at our journey this season.

From showcasing our Shell Eco-marathon vehicles and sharing the progress we've made to walking them through our engineering processes and the systems behind our work, it was a wonderful opportunity to connect and exchange ideas.

As a token of our gratitude, we felicitated the Rotary Club with a memento to thank them for their invaluable support and unwavering belief in Team Eta. Their encouragement has played an important role in helping us pursue innovation and excellence.

We're grateful for their visit and look forward to strengthening this partnership as we continue building towards new milestones together.
