Do you still think cardio workouts are for fat loss? If yes, get over it RIGHT NOW!
First of all, should you ignore cardio workouts? NOOOO!
The main purpose of cardio workouts is to keep the heart 🫀and the lungs 🫁 healthy.
People have made it a marketing gimmick to attract people in their sessions saying that it helps in fat loss. If you don’t believe me, try doing only cardio in your training for a month. Notice the heart rate everyday. Also notice how your endurance improves. As a layman, you will start finding changes in your endurance within a month, the weight on the weighing scale will not show much of a difference nor in terms of your inches, but your muscular endurance, YES! Apart from that, to go into more factual benefits of cardio workouts, they are as follows :
1. Heart rate recovery gets faster
2. Mitochondrial density increases
3. Stroke volume increases
4. Neocapillarization
5. Resting heart rate decreases
6. VO2max increases
7. RBC density increases
So should you ignore cardio workouts because it’s not going to majorly help in fat loss? NO! Don’t you want to get these benefits of doing the cardio workouts? So do things with right goals!
