Jayendra Ganpat Sadaye is an IT professional, passionate Runner, Swimmer, Cricketer & Fitness enthusiast. He believe on himself, self-disciplined , self-motivated & having hunger to learn at every stage. His dream is to become a Ultra Marathoner & Half Irion Man.
1)How did your running journey begin?
The life was become more stressful in day to day work pressure, hence decided to test my running capabilities. I am swimmer, so thought the swimming exercise will be an additional advantage for Marathon. These both sports exercise will keep me fit and maintain in such stressful life. Me decided and started 1 & 2 Km running every day
My journey started in August 2017. I still remember how proud I was when I ran my first 5k IDBI Marathon on 20th August 2017. It was my first running accomplishment and I celebrated my first achievement with my family and close friends.
And Journey begin…………..
2)What do you love about running?
Running is become my passion, Every run event bring positivity, energy, confidence in my life. It is make me to keep fit & away from stress. It an opportunity to meet professional runners, learn from them & make a new runner buddies.
3) How does your typical training days look like? à
I run 5Km run thrice in week , I do swim alternate day for 45 min. in case, I skipped my schedule then go for brisk walking for 5 to 7 Km.

·Brisk walking – in case I skipped run and swim
4) What’s your favourite running memory?
Most memorable is “ Bramhagiri Parikrama Stone Range Valley Marathon” at Traimbekeshwar , Nasik organised by Run Buddies group. The running event is a Parikrama to Shrei Kshetra Traimbekshwar Shiva Temple (श्री त्र्यंबकेश्वर ज्योर्तिलिंग मंदिर) with beautiful neuter, hills, Inclines, Waterfalls.

5) Do you have any favourite place to run?
I love to run close to natural places and on new track rather than running on same track. New location & running track brings excitement, energy and new experience….
6) Do you train in group or alone? What is your group name?
I started my running on my own, during my journey, i joined PALAVA Running group & Reliance Runner Group. The company of my group run buddies taught me on Workout, Strengths and running technics.
7) Do you train under Coach? Could you let us know more about your coach?
I started initial with my own. I haven’t taken any training. From last few months I am taking training under my coach Mr Sukanto Roy. Under his coaching boosted my confidence, strength, improved my stamina, learned good technics and planning to participate upcoming State/International Marathon event.
8) How many running races/marathons you target in a year? Which are your favourite ones?
I believed to participate in few and good Marathons rather than participating in many events. My target is to participates in 42K TMM, Hyderabad, Ladakh & Ultra Marathon.
BNP (Borivali National Park) 25K Run is my best Marathon
9) What is your biggest motivation for running?
My biggest motivation of running is my own mind, my inner voice and my family support, which keeps more active to achieve new milestones.
10) Do you follow any specific diet plan? Would you like to share the plan with everyone if any?
I am not following any diet plan and enjoying all kinds of food but avoiding more sugar and oily food. I preferred light dinner in the evening. I believe proper diet, healthy food and enough sleep will help to maintain you good health and it helps in all sports event.
11) Do you participate in any other physical activity/sport other than running?
I play cricket and participating in swimming competition.
·I am a good cricketer and won 50+ Trophies in Lather & Tennis boll tournament
·I am swimmer & participated in Sea SWIMATHON at Goa Bambolim i beach in 2018. It was organised by Endru Sports Club and I had finished 1km sea swimming in 35 min.
·I participated in “Maharashtra State AQUATHON 2019” competition at Wardha, Nagpur & Secured place in SUPER SIX in Men Category. It was having Swim & Run events.
12) What would you like yo say to fellow running enthusiast?
Keep Running, keep Practicing, follow strictly all Strength/Running technics, guidelines prior & after run events to avoid injury.
Do not stress yourself, listen to your body & heart.
Do consult with your physician.
Be positive & Don’t give up …………
13) What does your running gear typically includes?
My running gear include dry fit clothes, Sports Shoes & Garmin Watch.
14) What are your running career highlights?
I have participated 50+ Marathon ( 5Km, 10Km, 21Km & 25Km) in my 3 year running career. Few I have mentioned below which are more challenging and memorable

15) One running goal you are targeting to achieve soon?
My next immediate Goal is to run Full Marathon (41Km) and Ladakh Marathon ………my dream is to patriciate in Ultrarun, Half iron Man & international running events.
16)Do you use any nutrition while training or on race day? How does it helps in overall performance?
I prefer light food prior to Run event, Avoid junk food, Consumed lot of water to stay hydrated & good sleep.
