I work at a bank but have always been very passionate about carrom. For more than 30 years, I have been participating in every state carrom tournament. This game has made me what I am today including my career. This game taught me to be patient, concentrate for long hours, and perform under tremendous pressure.

My daughters Ish*ta and Aarya are extremely passionate about badminton. Last year, Aarya was ranked 3rd in Maharashtra State in the U13 singles category. Both of them are used to putting real hard work by training close to 4-5 hours a day. Since they started professional badminton, I have seen both of them mature very fast and be more responsible in their studies too.
As far as Mumbai games is concerned, all of us thoroughly enjoyed the sporting atmosphere in season 1 last year. There was immense high levels of energy in the air. I think this kind of event will help our country imbibe a culture of sports leading our country to become a true sporting nation…

My message to all the parents is that they should allow their children to grow up in their passion so that they lead their lives filled with real happiness. And most importantly not to retire them from their sporting life at 15 years of age.

My 4-year-old, Dhanbir was into skating until last year when he switched to swimming simply because he loved it. I am a school professor but as a mother, I have seen it all and I wouldn't want my son to get stuck in a monotonous life.
I was inclined towards sports since my school days. Always believed that sports help you develop your personality. It lets you explore, socialize & teach you survival. I also understand the common thought process of seeing career & stability as one. But I will be the happiest if Dhanbir decides to make his career in sports.
Last year, we heard about this sports event for which Dhanbir was eligible. We have been to many sports competitions but this one felt different, it didn't feel commercial...
Just a community encouraging everyone to come, play, and have fun. That's the only reason why we are going back. Their team even celebrated the fact that Dhanbir was the youngest participant in their entire event.
As a parent, I will be participating in the marathon to lead by an example for my son and other parents.
