ITF CBI Coaching Beginners and Intermediate course

MSLTA is hosting the AITA Coaching Intermediate Players Course (Level 4) at MSLTA, Mumbai, from 30th May to 5th June 2026.

The seven-day course witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 14 coaches from across India, who came together to enhance their coaching knowledge and skills.

The course is conducted by AITA Tutors Mr. Manoj Vaidya (ITF Level 3 / AITA Level 7 & CEO MSLTA) and Mrs. Radhika Kanitkar (ITF Level 3 / AITA Level 7), who shared their expertise and insights on modern coaching methodologies and player development.

The program reflects AITA’s and MSLTA's continued commitment towards coach education and the overall growth of tennis in India.

Prayan Dhage and Gyanvi Shivmath Clinch Titles at MSLTA Suhana Smart 10's Tennis Circuit in Navi Mumbai

Navi Mumbai, June 1, 2026: The MSLTA Suhana Smart 10's Tennis Circuit (MS0088/2026) was successfully conducted from 30 May to 1 June, 2026, at the Navi Mumbai Sports Association (NMSA), Navi Mumbai. The tournament was organized under the auspices of the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) and witnessed enthusiastic participation from promising young tennis players from across Maharashtra.

In the Boys' final, Top seed Prayan Dhage produced an impressive performance to defeat second seeded Shlok Hinge 4-0, 4-2 and capture the boys title.

The Girls' final saw third seed Gyanvi Shivmath dominate fourth seed Anaysha Chaphalkar, winning convincingly 4-0, 4-0 to emerge as the champion.

The prize distribution ceremony was held in the presence of distinguished guests including Dr. Vijay R. Patil, General Secretary, NMSA; Mr. Rajendra Pansare, Tennis Chairman; Adv. Nilesh Bhojane &Mr. Vikram D. Shinde, NMSA Committee Member Mr. Sharad Chaudhari, Tennis incharge. The dignitaries congratulated the winners and participants for their spirited performances and encouraged the young athletes to continue pursuing excellence in the sport.

Road to MSLTA Camp Tournament Concludes Successfully at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar

The Road to MSLTA Camp and Tournament for Boys and Girls Under-10 and Under-12 categories concluded successfully at the MSLTA Centre, EMMTC, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. The tournament witnessed promising young talent from across Maharashtra competing for a place in the prestigious MSLTA development pathway program.

The event was conducted under the guidance of coaches Ramayya Konkatti and Pravin Gaisamudre, with Pravin also serving as the Tournament Supervisor. The tournament was directed by Mr. Ashutosh Mishra.

The “Road to MSLTA Camp and Tournament” is one of the flagship grassroots initiatives of the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA). Every year, MSLTA along with its various zones including Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Nagpur, Nashik, Solapur, Kolhapur and Amravati organizes two regional tournaments in each zone. Winners from these regional events qualify for the Zonal Masters Tournament, and the champions from the Masters event earn selection for the Road to MSLTA Camp and Tournament.

The tournament is specially designed for upcoming players with less than 10 points in the All India Tennis Association (AITA) rankings and Maharashtra State Under-10 rankings, providing young players an opportunity to gain competitive exposure and develop their skills at the grassroots level.

National champions Mundhe and Adkar headline MSLTA Annual Scholarships 2025

Mumbai, 17th May 2026: National champions Parthsarthi Arun Mundhe and Vaishnavi Adkar, alongside leading international players from the state including Manas Manoj Dhamne, Akanksha Nitture, Arnav Vijay Paparkar, Aishwarya Dayanand Jadhav and Myra Rizwan Shaikh, along with other top-performing players on the national and state circuit, were awarded scholarships and awards. Seven Maharashtra coaches were also honoured for producing national champions at the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) Annual Scholarships Function 2025 held in Mumbai.

The awards ceremony was graced by Shri Shrikar Pardeshi, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, along Hon Secretary of AITA Sunder Iyer MSLTA President Mr. Prashant Sutar, MSLTA Chairman Mr. Bharat Oza, Vice President Mr. Rajeev Deshpande, MSLTA Hon. Treasurer Mr. Sudhir Bhiwapurkar, and MSLTA Joint Secretaries Mr. Rajiv Desai, Mr. Nikhil Sampat and Mr. Sheetal Bhonsale. Also present on the occasion were MSLTA Council Members Mr. Vijay Naidu, Mr. Shiv Mor and Mr. Ali Panjwani, Former International Gaurav Natekar and other representatives.

A total scholarship amount of over Rs. 9.5 lakhs was distributed under various scholarship schemes including the Ravibhau Ranade Scholarship for National winners and runners-up, the Dr. Ulka Natekar Scholarship for the top two Mens players, the Mrs. Nalini Hattikudur Scholarship for the top two Womens players, the Madhav Annigeri Memorial Scholarship for the Best Player of the Year, MSLTA Coaching Scholarships for players ranked among the top five in AITA rankings and the top three players in Maharashtra, along with special awards for Maharashtra coaches.

Parthsarthi Arun Mundhe of Solapur was one of the top award winners after clinching the National Under-18 Singles title at Chennai, National Under-16 Singles title and doubles title at Delhi. Mundhe was also named the Most Outstanding Junior Player from Maharashtra State for the year 2025 under the Madhav Annigeri Memorial Scholarship.

Vaishnavi Adkar of Pune was felicitated for winning the Women’s National Singles title at Delhi and for finishing as the No.1 ranked women’s player in Maharashtra. Akanksha Nitture finished as runner-up at the Women’s Nationals and was honoured as Maharashtra’s No.2 ranked women’s player.

Manas Manoj Dhamne and Atharva Sharma were awarded the Mrs. Ulka Natekar Scholarships for being Maharashtra’s top ranked men’s players, while Vaishnavi Adkar and Akanksha Nitture received the Mrs. Nalini Hattikudur Scholarships for topping the women’s rankings in the state.

Other leading Maharashtra players honoured on the occasion included Arnav Vijay Paparkar, Shivtej Shirfule, Swanika Roy, Mannan Agarwal, Aarav Mulay, Smit Undre, Laqshya Tripathi, Raghav Sarode, Aarav Chhallani, Shravee Deore, Shlok Aland, Adira Bhagat, Trisha Bhosale, Sejal Jadhav and Swaraj Dhamdhere for their performances at the national and state level tournaments during the season.

Trophies were also presented to the finalists of the MSLTA Masters 2025 tournaments in the Under-10, Under-12 and Under-14 categories held at Kolhapur Sports Association, MSLTA Mumbai and EMMTC Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar respectively.

MSLTA also rewarded Maharashtra coaches Hemant Bendre, Kedar Shah, Sandeep Kirtane, Ravindra Pandey, Ketan Dhumal, Sagar Kadam and Parth Chivate for producing national champions and finalists during the year.

Nashik District Tennis Association was declared the Best Performing District in Maharashtra for the year 2025 for its contribution towards the promotion and development of tennis in the state.

Chavan, Bendre, Pujari cause first upsets at the MSLTA PMDTA All India Ranking Championship Series U12 Tennis Tournament

Pune, May 4, 2026: Rushikesh Chavan, Arjun Bendre, Pranshul Pujari caused first upset to move into the second round of
the boys’ event at the MSLTA PMDTA All India Ranking Championship Series U12 Tennis Tournament organised by Aditya Kaifi Tennis Academy in association with Shaping Champions Foundation, Pune, under the auspices of MSLTA and PMDTA, and is being played at the Millennium National School Tennis Courts, Karvenagar.

In the opening round in the boys
Rushikesh Chavan upset sixth seeded Ayden Shaikh 7-5, 6-4, while Arjun Bendre scraped past fifth seeded Dohad Kasle 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 to entered into second round.

In another upset unseeded
Pranshul Pujari upset seventh seeded Avyaan Ghumare 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
