Founded by the Former Indian Cricketer Mr. Nilesh Kulkarni, IISM is the first Sports Management Institute in India & across Asia. In collaboration with the University of Mumbai & Garware Institute of Career Education and Development (GICED), our institute offers UG and PG programs in Sports Manag

The programs are designed to provide detailed knowledge aligned with industry insight in various aspects of the sports business including but not limited to Sports Event Management, Sports Operations & Administration, Sports Marketing, Sports Nutrition, Sports Psychology, PR, Journalism, Sports Data Analytics, Team League & Athlete Management, Sports Retail. For its excellence & contribution to the development of Sports Management studies, IISM received the ‘Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar’ from the hand of former President of India, honorable Shri Ram Nath Kovind Ji. "A lot of fun memories here at IISM. It has truly been a wonderful journey for us," says Nikhil Punmiya, a Bachelor of Sports Management graduate from IISM. 🎓

From managing on-ground operations as a Venue Manager with the Mumbai Indians Junior team to experiencing the fast-paced realities of the sports industry, Nikhil's journey has been one of growth, learning, and hands-on exposure.

One of his favourite aspects of IISM was the way learning went beyond textbooks. Through real-world examples, industry insights, and engaging classroom discussions, the faculty helped bridge the gap between theory and practice, making every lesson meaningful and relevant.💡

“He did a lot of internships and projects along with his studies, and that is something he learnt from IISM,” says Nirav Trivedi, brother of Rajman Joshi, a Bachelor of Sports Management graduate from International Institute of Sports & Management. 🎓

From complaining about his introversion to seeing his transformation into someone who actively takes up opportunities and networking, his brother felt immensely proud. 😊

When asked about why Sports Management and Why IISM, he answered by saying this:
"Firstly, Compared to other countries, our country is behind and there are so many opportunities because of government initiatives! Secondly, IISM is a platform where I have seen my brother grow, a lot of opportunities, study-wise, it is Mumbai University affiliated and professionally a lot of doors have opened for him."

Sometimes growth looks like stepping out of your comfort zone.

A huge congratulations to our student, Shashwat Jagtap, for his sensational unbeaten century for Eagle Thane Strikers in the Mumbai T20 League. 💯🏏

Chasing 190, Shashwat smashed 100* off just 50 balls, guiding his team to victory, and earning the Player of the Match award!!

What makes us even prouder is his mindset.

While pursuing his cricketing dreams, Shashwat is also investing in his future through Sports Management at IISM, understanding that success is built both on the field and beyond it.

From a summer camp player to competing at the U19 Nationals, Samruddhi Bhavsar’s journey has been built on commitment and love for the game. 🏀

What started as a simple introduction to basketball slowly became a space where she found confidence, purpose, and ambition. ❤️

Despite battling PCOS and being told she was “too short” for the sport, she chose persistence over doubt and continued pushing forward.

Today, as a Sports Science student at IISM, she dreams of helping athletes optimize performance, recovery, and training, ensuring they achieve excellence without losing their passion for sport. 🏋️‍♂️🥇
