In what was an amazing performance off the board - Tanisha Boramanikar scored 100% in her commerce 12th grade exams. Tanisha scored a total of 582 marks out of 600 in English, Pali, Economics, Accountancy, Organization of Commerce and Management and Secretarial practice. She had represented Maharashtra State in the School Games event in December 2023, which is why she received 18 extra marks, making it a perfect 600/600.

It is always said that chess helps in academics - in such cases we are talking about benefits like concentration, focus, better decision making etc. But in Tanisha's case she not only received these indirect benefits of chess but also the direct ones with extra marks!

Tanisha is an extremely strong chess player. She is the winner of National Sub Juniors title in 2022 and also won a medal for the country at World Youth Olympiad in 2022. An absolute gem! We congratulate Tanisha for her brilliant achievement. The entire chess community is proud of her.
