Viparyaya - misconception is false knowledge which we need to overcome. For example, when we mistake a rope for a snake, the knowledge is incorrect, because it's a rope mistaken for a snake. This can be avoided with adequate light.

Hence it is important that we don't mistake things for something else.

Viparyaya is also known as avidya, because it is based on a misunderstanding of the real nature of purusha and prakriti. It can be replaced by viveka which brings correct understanding of the true nature of purusha and prakriti.

Yoga Sutra 1.7
Pratyakṣa-anumāna-āgamāḥ pramāṇāni`
Meaning- The valid sources of knowledge are direct perception, inference, and authoritative testimony.
Patanjali is saying: If you want to know what's true, you can rely on 3 reliable ways:

1. Pratyakṣa – Direct Perception
Knowledge from your own senses + direct experience.
Ex: You feel heat from fire, you see the sky is blue. No doubt.

2. Anumāna – Inference/Logic
Knowledge you figure out through reasoning when you can’t see it directly.
Ex: You see wet ground → you infer it rained. You see smoke → there’s fire.

3. Āgama – Authoritative Testimony
Knowledge from reliable, trustworthy sources who already know.
Ex: Learning from a guru, scriptures, science, or an expert. You trust it because the source is proven.

Why it matters:
Patanjali gives us a practical "fact-check system" for yoga + life.
Don’t just believe anything. Test it: experience it, reason it, and learn from those who’ve walked the path.

See it. Reason it. Learn from the wise..

This nothing is I have written, it is all written by sage Patanjali, am here to only post it correctly our gurus knowledge.

Perfection = Practice

No shortcuts. Just sincerity, time, and heart.

The 3 Pillars of Patanjali
1. Duration – Commit long-term. Change takes time.
2. Consistency – Show up daily. No gaps.
3. Devotion – Practice with love. Make it meaningful.
