The game began with a Petrov Defense, but it quickly became anything but quiet.
After the early exchanges, Pranesh started building pressure with Re1, c4 and Qb3, grabbing space and putting Black under increasing pressure. βοΈ
Then came the first tactical warning sign:
16. Re3!
Pranesh boldly brought the rook into the attack, and Black's bishop eventually captured it:
17. Nxe4! Bxe3 18. Nf6+!
π₯ Suddenly, the position exploded.
Pranesh sacrificed material to rip open Black's kingside. After 18...gxf6 19.Bxe3, White had transformed the position into a dangerous attacking battle.
Black tried to fight back with ...Re4, but Pranesh calmly eliminated the rook:
20. Bxe4! dxe4 21. Qxe4
The dust settledβand White emerged with a dangerous initiative.
But Pranesh wasn't finished.
He slowly tightened the net with Bf4, Bd6, Re1 and Qf3, while Black's king became increasingly exposed. πΈοΈπ
Then came the killer blow:

The bishop crashed onto h6, forcing the black king to capture:
32...Kxh6
And that was the trap.

The queen ripped open the king's defenses.
After 33...Ng6 34.Nxg6 hxg6, Pranesh continued the attack with:
35. Qh8+!
Black's king was now running for its life. πββοΈπ
After 35...Kg5 36.Kg3 Qc7+, it looked like Black might have one final defensive resource.
But Pranesh had seen everything.

The queen delivered the final blow on h4, completely boxing in the black king.
