“What should you do?”

Ask:

“What do you recommend and why?”

You still get visibility.

There is a difference between someone helping with the work and someone owning the outcome.

If you still:
set the priorities,
make the decisions,
check the work,
remember the deadline,
and step in when something goes wrong…
the task may have moved.

The responsibility hasn’t.

Pick one area and define three things:
Outcome.
Decision rights.
Measure.

That is where ownership starts becoming visible.
