People know me as Chaitanya DANGEROUS Gavali. But honestly that’s not where my story began.
In 2019, I didn’t even have a proper place to train. After just a lot of passion, and this feeling that I was meant to teach and build something of my own.
It was a little tough back then, amidst a lot of uncertainities around the future of MMA in India. I decided to take a leap of faith which today I feel has paid off to a great extent.
I still remember my mom telling me,
“Why don’t you start your own academy?” That one line stayed with me. And I took the chance.
My brother started training with me from zero. Today, he stands next to me as a coach and that means everything.
And the students some of them walked in without even knowing the basics. Today, they’re stepping onto world platforms, representing in BJJ, Muay Thai, kickboxing.
When I look at all of this, it doesn’t feel like just a gym. It feels like people growing together. Learning, falling, getting back up again and again. And the feeling that whatever I have I should pass it on to the aspiring youngsters by building something of my own!
