life cycle of a pegion =
The lifecycle of a pigeon starts from eggs. After hatching, they live in nests. Within 4-6 weeks baby pigeons can fly. In 6-8 months, they choose a mate for life. Pigeons will breed all year round, but the fall and spring are when most reproduction tends to occur. The female pigeon will lay one or two eggs, which will incubate for approximately 18 days. The mother and father pigeons will take turns incubating the eggs. Once the babies have hatched, they will stay in the nest for around 4-6 weeks before they can fly. After they have left the nest, they will continue to mature over the next few weeks and months, until they reach the age of 1-2 years. After this, the average lifespan of a pigeon is 5-7 years, although some have been known to reach 10 years of age.
