kartikey,son of shiva has also meditated here for 1000 years and today you can see the natural hot spring water coming out
from the mountain. it is believed that earlier kheer(indian sweet dish made up of rice,milk and dryfruit) used to flow instead
of water but local people started fighting for it, then later monk parshuram turned that kheer into water in which today also
you can see milk cream and its flake in the water and hence the place got its name kheerganga.

Starting from may 2025 we will be starting an initiative for the development of khirganga for tourists and local artisans . For the same we will be starting a fundraiser to fund our growth and development cycle for our beloved peaceful shrine.

Roads & Bus services are back on !
If you're planning a trip to Kheerganga then you can plan so.
The bus service is being operational until Manikaran. From manikaran you can either take a cab to Barshaini or can take a locally rented vehicle.
Since landslides have diverted the path at various spots of the trek , one should take precautions while crossing the same .
