Hello fam !
After a break of over a year, IKTTC is planning to finally conduct its first official tournament of the year * happy dance*. Spanning the next few weeks we expect to have singles matches at our beloved SAC. All this, trusting that we all will take COVID safety to be our utmost priority, and maintain proper protocol. The matches would be singles knockout type matches. We would like all interested players to fill this form up (which would give us a headcount), so we can soon come up with a fixture and get the tournament started!

Hello people!
We are over the moon to learn that the institute would soon be calling the 17MS students back to campus. And with so many months off-campus, many of our TT lovers would head straight to our little room in the SAC ( I sure would to be frank;) ). But there's a catch.
COVID 19 ISN'T OVER YET (maybe continuing with my line of thought would get us into copyright issues, would it ?). We need to be responsible enough so that we can play without fear. We are addressing students of science here, so we don't expect anyone to act silly with the protocol given.

Ho ho ho,

We are super psyched to say that we have finally gotten a new logo, a new face to the IKTTC as our Christmas present this year!

The logo was chosen after numerous deliberations and we are glad to say we were elated to see so much participation, especially from the 20(.5)MS students. But many of the students missed an important rule stated, that the logo must have the IISERK logo in it.

The winner of the logo making competition is Shruti Mandal of 19MS. The logo truly captured the spirit of Table tennis and that of IISER Kolkata in a few pixels. The colour scheme of black and red, as in the two sides of the TT racket was thoughtful; and it gave a fresh, clean visual and was not old school ❤️
The new logo is attached.

As the tenure of the previous OBs came to an end this Sunday, we would like to take some time and recognise the legacy they along with all the past TT club OBs have left for us, to carry forward. TT club has a glorious past for sure, from it having being the initiator of the trend of Auction matches to being the biggest medal yielder over the past many IISMs.

We are grateful for the previous team of OBs to have provided us with great experiences and a lot of support as some of us OBs have taken only baby steps into the sport. Even, though this tenure would be unlike all the past ones, all thanks to the 'pandemic'(sigh), we hope we work diligently and keep the spirit of the club, shining bright.

Hello Folks!

After a huge success in IISM, we are here to start with the auction tournament.It is one of the most popular as well as populous tournaments in IISER KOLKATA. Last Year , the club experienced a participation of about more than 40 players .There were about 7 teams participating in the tournament.

This auction tournament is your chance to enhance your skills as you'll get more exposure in the shadows of the senior club members .

If you are not that good at tt , yet you have heart for the game , you can buy your own team and be the boss by being the manager.

So, basically, we have a manager and team players. After you register as manager/ player,we would conduct a bidding session in which each manager would be given a certain amount of points and using that he / she has to buy a certain no. of players from the pool of registered ones.

IKTTC is back with its annual auction event of the year.Last year,we had about 40 players registered and there were 7 teams . And thus,it was one of the most populous events of the semester. This auction tournament is your chance to enhance your skills. So register and have fun with others as well.

IKTTC CREATES HISTORY AGAIN!!!

Geeta goyal with her 4th gold in team event along sharmistha..aditi and hrishika.

In case of boys as well.. we won a gold in men's team event .
The team includes prince aasadeep soumendu aditya and narayan.
Aasadeep was a life savior against pune

In the event mixed doubles..
The final was hrishika soumendu vs geeta prince ,I.e._ kolkata vs Kolkata... in which the latter won against the former .

In the event women's singles
Sharmistha won bronze in women
And geeta won gold

In the event men's singles
Aasadeep gave a tough fight to iiser bhopal but lost by 3 2.
So we bagged a total of 6 medals
4 gold 1 silver and 1 bronze.
