‘জাতীয় ক্রীড়া দিবস ২০২৬’ উদযাপনের অংশ হিসেবে আগামীকাল ২৭ আগস্ট, ২০২৬ তারিখে সকাল ১১টার সময় প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী ভিডিও কনফারেন্সিংয়ের মাধ্যমে এই ঐতিহাসিক ‘খেলো ইন্ডিয়া ডায়ালগ’ (Khelo India Dialogue – খেল কি বাত, প্রধানমন্ত্রী মোদী কে সাথ) কর্মসূচিতে ভাষণ দেবেন.‘মেরা যুব ভারত’ (MY ভারত) এবং ন্যাশনাল সার্ভিস স্কিম (NSS)-এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত এই দেশব্যাপী কর্মসূচির মূল খুঁটিনাটি বিষয়গুলি নিচে দেওয়া হলো:
ব্যাপকতা: সারা দেশের রাজ্য ও কেন্দ্রশাসিত অঞ্চলগুলির প্রতিটি জেলার অন্তত দুটি কলেজসহ ১,৫০০টিরও বেশি শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানে (IIT, IIM, NIT এবং AIIMS-সহ) এই অনুষ্ঠানটি সরাসরি সম্প্রচার ও উদযাপন করা হবে.
যুব সংলাপের (Yuva Samvaad) ৫টি মূল থিম: এই ডায়ালগ বা আলোচনা মূলত ৫টি প্রধান বিষয়ের ওপর ভিত্তি করে সাজানো হয়েছে:
১. ক্রীড়া পরিকাঠামো ও সুযোগ-সুবিধার উন্নয়ন.
২. ২০৩৬ অলিম্পিকের জন্য বৈজ্ঞানিক পদ্ধতিতে খেলোয়াড় তৈরি ও প্রতিভা অন্বেষণ.
৩. যুব নেতৃত্ব ও সুশাসনে অংশগ্রহণ.
৪. উন্নত ভারত (Viksit Bharat) গঠনে যুবকদের ভূমিকা ও দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি.
৫. 'নেশামুক্ত যুব' (Nasha Mukt Yuva) আন্দোলন গড়ে তোলা.
তারকা ক্রীড়াবিদদের অংশগ্রহণ: প্রধানমন্ত্রীর ভার্চুয়াল ভাষণের পর প্রতিটি কেন্দ্রে সরাসরি আলোচনা শুরু হবে.
যেখানে দীপা কর্মকার, সাইনা নেহাল, মেরি কম, গগন নারং, পি আর শ্রীজেশ, বাইচুং ভুটিয়া ও পি টি উষার মতো কিংবদন্তি ভারতীয় ক্রীড়াবিদরা যুবকদের সাথে নিজেদের অভিজ্ঞতা ভাগ করে নেবেন.
অনলাইন কুইজ: এই উদ্যোগের অংশ হিসেবে ‘ভিকসিৎ ভারত ইয়ং লিডার্স ডায়ালগ কুইজ’ (Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue Quiz)-এরও আয়োজন করা হয়েছে.

16 August 2026: The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the West Bengal State Handball Association (WBSHA) was successfully organised today with the objective of strengthening and promoting handball across all districts of West Bengal. The meeting brought together dignitaries, office-bearers, representatives from different districts, coaches, officials, and other members of the handball fraternity.

The meeting focused on several important issues concerning the development and expansion of handball at the grassroots and district levels. One of the major proposals discussed was the introduction of an Inter-District Handball Tournament on a home-and-away basis(zone wise). Such a system is expected to provide players with more opportunities to compete regularly, gain match experience, and improve their overall performance.

Another important agenda of the meeting was the preparation of the Annual Calendar for State Handball Tournaments for the 2026–27 session. The proposed annual calendar will help ensure systematic planning and smooth organisation of various state-level competitions throughout the upcoming season. Regular and well-planned competitions are essential for identifying talented players and preparing strong district and state teams.

Several distinguished dignitaries and representatives were present at the meeting and shared their valuable thoughts, suggestions, and experiences for the betterment of handball in West Bengal. Their speeches highlighted the importance of developing young players, strengthening district-level activities, increasing regular competitions, and creating better opportunities for athletes, coaches, and officials.

The meeting also provided an important platform for representatives from different districts to exchange ideas and discuss practical challenges related to the growth of handball. Collective participation and cooperation among districts, clubs, coaches, officials, and the state association were emphasised as key factors in taking the sport forward.

The Annual General Meeting concluded on a positive note, with a shared commitment to further strengthen the handball structure across West Bengal. The initiatives discussed during the meeting are expected to contribute significantly to the development of players and competitions and to create a stronger foundation for the future of handball in the state.

The AGM was therefore an important step towards building a more organised, competitive, and progressive handball system across West Bengal for the 2026–27 season.
