We would like to respectfully request that a thorough verification of the facts be carried out regarding the video that has been uploaded concerning Masjid-e-Pak.
Our mosque is currently undergoing construction work, and the individual seen in the video is one of the laborers employed at the site. While it is possible that he may have acted carelessly or made an error in judgment, it is important that the complete circumstances be understood before any conclusions are drawn or content is shared publicly.
Let we be absolutely clear climbing onto a mosque to watch a cricket match is wrong, inappropriate, and deserves condemnation. A mosque is a sacred place of worship, not a viewing gallery. We condemn such behaviour without hesitation. How exactly is the MCL Organising Committee responsible for that? Individual actions should be judged as individual actions. Holding an entire organizing body accountable for what some spectators chose to do is neither rational nor intellectually honest.
Publishing videos on social media without proper verification can lead to misunderstandings and may unintentionally harm the reputation of individuals and institutions. In today’s digital age, it is essential that information is shared responsibly and only after confirming its accuracy.
Therefore, I humbly request that the video be removed from social media until a proper inquiry has been completed and the facts have been established. Your cooperation in ensuring fairness and responsible reporting will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your understanding.
