Abraham Benjamin de Villiers (born 17 February 1984), commonly known as AB de Villiers, was a South African former international cricketer who played for the South African national team
He began his international career as a wicket-keeper/batsman but has played most often solely as a batsman. He would bat at various positions in the batting order but predominantly in the middle-order. Noted as one of the most innovative batsmen in the modern game, De Villiers is noted for many unorthodox shots behind the wicket-keeper and slips, which earned him the nickname Mr. 360.
He holds the records for the fastest 50 (16 balls), 100 (31 balls) and 150 (64 balls) of all time in One Day Internationals by any batsmen, and also holds the fastest hundred by a South African in Tests and the fastest 50 by South African in T20Is. He is a three-time ICC ODI player of the year, winning the award in 2010, 2014 and 2015.

Presenting you the much awaited sports event of the year "INTER-NIT SPORTS MEET", this time in the beautiful western ghats of surathkal, yeah you heard it right NITK Surathkal took the privilege of hosting the sports meet this year!

Get ready for the some nail biting games, some fine performances from the athletes!

Witness the high voltage matches from different NIT's from January 12-15. Every team would give their best as there's no second chance here!!

It is now time for the next captains and sports core to take their teams to victory. I am sure they will bring laurels for NIT Trichy as the sports contingent always does. Congratulations to all. And wishing you all the best for the upcoming year.
