HISTORY MADE AT 13,000 FEET! 🏔️🎿
The peaks of Arunachal Pradesh just witnessed a masterclass in grit, speed, and Himachali spirit! Our athletes didn't just compete at the first-ever National Ski Mountaineering Championship in Tawang—they dominated it.
Against the stunning (and breathless) backdrop of PT Tso Lake, situated at a staggering altitude of 13,000ft, the Himachal SkiMo team proved why the mountains are our home.
🥇 The Golden Sweep
Our champions pushed through the thin air and grueling terrain to bring home the top honors:
Natasha Mehar: The Undisputed Queen of the Slopes! Natasha clinches TWO GOLD MEDALS, taking the top spot in both the Women’s Vertical and Sprint categories.
Garvit Thakur: A powerhouse performance! Garvit stormed the mountain to secure GOLD in the Men’s Vertical race, leaving the competition in the dust (or rather, the snow).
SkiMo (Ski Mountaineering) is one of the toughest winter sports in existence, demanding elite-level cardiovascular fitness and technical downhill skills. To perform at this level at 13,000ft is nothing short of legendary.
"From the Dhauladhars to the Himalayas of the East, our athletes carry the fire of Himachal wherever they go." 🏔️🔥
Join us in congratulating Natasha and Garvit for making the state and the association proud!
