Mumu Surf School - Learn surfing on India's East Coast in Mahabalipuram Mumu Surf shop was the first surfing shop located near Chennai, Tamil Nadu and we have an intimate knowledge of the ocean, the waves and how to ride them best.

Me and my little surf buddy throwing a shaka one last time before the monsoon rolls in.
Thank you to everyone who made our season so special.
Now it’s time to head home to Mamallapuram, where epic surf, temple views and the best food are waiting ❤️ we hope to see & surf with you on the East coast 🤙🏽

✌🏽 We're still open! ✨ But...
due to recent changes, many guesthouses and shops have closed. Since our surf shack is situated on one of these properties, things look a bit different now. We'll continue operating until the end of the season in May, just in a slightly modified way 🙌🏽
While there are numerous reasons and rumors about these closures, it comes down to money and ego,if you ask us.
It's easy to feel frustrated, angry, or sad during such times, but we choose to shift our focus and see this as an opportunity for new beginnings.
So, if any rich folks out there are scratching their heads, wondering how to spend their money in a nature-friendly and sustainable way, give us a shout! We are full of ideas, hopes, and dreams for a future deeply connected to Mother Earth. 😉❤️ After all, that's the only way forward.
