It was MR. SOLOMAN Issac of Maharashtra(India) a renowned exponent of the KICKBOXING ,who inducted this action support in India systematically as a full fledged sport and massive Endeavor to expand its to other parts of the country.
In 1991,MR. ANURAG SRIVASTAVA was formed a parent body"KICK BOXING ASSOCIATION" .
In 1995, at Lucknow( U.P), This association was got registered under the registration of societies act 1860,
MR.ANURAG SRIVASTAVA resolve to establish a proper system for promotion and propagation of discipline
of KICKBOXING under the official patronage to value its promotion & activities. He had already received a rigorous
training in disciplines of Karate & Judo. In 1983, He laid foundation of massive promotion of KICKBOXING in all quarters of country.
In 2007, the word added to this to shape out a National level association popularly called AMATEUR KICKBOXING ASSOCIATION(India) as it is today.
AKAI is likely to emerge as a National sports federation following its affiliation with ASSOCIATION and GOVT. OF INDIA.
