Cricket has seen an unusual and unprecedented rise during past few years and and has reached every nook and corner of the state, thanks to the supreme court,Lodha committe and High court. Particularly the CEO who initiated DISTRICT LEVEL TOURNAMENTS in 2018. However, the events couldn't get started this year amid COVID 19 LOCKDOWN, but since the game has already reached new horizons, almost all the cricket players and lovers are engaged in activities all over the valley, thanks to the Organisers of various events which provide a platform to players to show-case their talents. Gone are those days when players from a limited number of clubs, particularly for the city areas, were given preference and selected for various national level events. Now cricket has reached far off areas and some extra ordinary players have found takers for their talents in the JKCA.

It all began with the introduction of TALENT HUNT CRICKET TOURNAMENT by the JKCA under the August leadership of the CEO, followed by mentorship of one & only Irfan Pathan that we witnessed so extra ordinary players in the likes of Rasikh Salam, Basit Bashir, Mujtaba Yousuf, Aakash Ayoub, Kamran Iqbal, Abdul Samad and various others. The selection of Abdul Samad in the IPL Franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad has brought laurels to the state and incited new hope to by young cricketer's. Hopefully this trend will continue and we may witness new faces at the national level in times to come...
