IQA is a venture to promote standardisation of Quizzing and to elevate it to the level of a powerful mind game.Affiliated to IQA Asia chapter,the Society aims to set up grading of quizzes as well as to introduce a point system for quizzers. To address all the things that ail the sport of Quizzing ,things are finally on track for the setting up of QSI( Quiz society of India ), as announced by Dr. A

nurakshat Gupta, Director-Asia of International Quizzing Association, London. QSI will address the lacunae that have been present in Quizzing in India and offer a platform to all Quiz enthusiasts by providing them registration, affiliation, points, ranking, and to elevate Quizzing to the next level with a standardized structure and format. QSI will also be involved in grading Quizzes according to pre set parameters as decided by the governing body by which Quizzers can gain points & district wise & state wise ranking depending on their performance. The World Quizzing Championship (WQC) will be the showpiece event in the Quizzing calendar with the national winner standing to gain 150 ranking points and the rest of the quizzers will be awarded points on percentile system with respect to the National winner. Regional level Quizzes will also be under the radar of QSI and shall be graded into 3 categories A, B and C. An A category Regional Quiz shall have a ranking points format of 30/20/10/5/5/5 for the finalists, B category shall be having 20/10/5/3/3/3 and C category 10/5/3/1/1/1. QSI believes this grading system will cater to Quizzers of all Categories and aid in popularizing Quizzing among the masses too. The Question on everybody’s lips is why QSI launched their activities from Kerala, a back bencher when compared to other powerhouse Quizzing regions. The simple reason being the only center in Kerala for WQC, Calicut was the center with the highest participation in the whole world ! 10 % of the entire global participation hailed from Kerala. That gives an insight into the seriousness and enthusiasm with which Quizzing is viewed here. An ad line for a famous sporting event was the inspiration for QSI for their message to the Quizzing fraternity : ‘ Quiz doesn’t care who you are . QUIZ SOCIETY OF INDIA (QSI) in a nut shell:

 A regulatory umbrella organization for affiliating, categorizing, issuing points, ranking & decide the official state & national champions in quizzing.

 Launched under the International Quizzing Association (IQA), Asia Chapter, and inaugurated by the then Education Minister of Kerala on 1st June 2013, one of the major aim of QSI is to relocate quizzing from an event during arts fest to a powerful mind game like chess & to promote quizzing to the sports page/column of media.

 Official state & national champions shall be decided every year in School & College Categories initially and then Ladies & Open categories in few years.

 State level grading panels & national grading panel are being formed under the supervision of senior quizzers & quiz masters of each state.

 The Kerala state activities shall be promoted under the patronage of veteran quiz masters & senior IAS officers who are active in the Kerala Quizzing circuit

 The official launch of the organization happened along with the World Quizzing Championship 2013 Saturday, 1st June 2013.

Here are the rules and guidelines.

1. The *Social Media Quizzes* start on 11th January 2021. These quizzes will be conducted by eminent personalities, known for their Qpositive initiatives.

2. There will be 5 card questions and one *special question* in each quiz. The special question will be a video question asked by a dignitary from the *Lions Clubs International*.

3. Students from 12th standard or below can participate in this mega event.

4. Question cards will be posted in the Official Facebook and Instagram pages of Q Factory from 7 PM to 7.30 PM.

5. Each question carries 10 points. If a question has two parts and require two answers, the points will be divided.

6. Send the complete answers along with your name, class, school and district to the given Whatsapp number before 11 PM *as a single message*. No separate answers or screenshots shall be accepted.

7. Top 3 Winners will be announced the next day and their photographs and details shall be published. Top 3 winners will also get bonus points of 10,5,3 respectively. Winners of the special question shall get a bonus of 10 points.

8. Points will be added each day and 3 students with the highest aggregate points will receive Cash prizes,books and certificates . Winners of the special questions also receive cash prize,books and certificates.

9.Decisions of the organisers will be final and binding on all matters connected with the quiz.
