Parsva Bakasana( Side Crow)
Side Crow looks pretty intimidating, but some people actually find it to be easier than Crow Pose. There is something about it that's a little more stable since both legs are together in a tight package and the arm position creates a natural support for the legs. Once you get the hang of this one, a lot more arm balances become available to you. You may find this pose in sequences focuses on arm balancing, the upper and middle back, core, and building the upper arms.
Benefits
This pose stretches the wrists, builds shoulder, arm, and core strength, and improves balance. Traditionally, it is said to activate the navel chakra, which boosts self confidence, power, and control. Certainly, being able to do this arm balance will give you a sense of achievement.

Grasshopper Pose Flow is an advanced yoga pose that is included in arm balance yoga poses. This image shown includes the transition pose Parivrtta Ardha Utkatasana (Twist Half Chair Pose) to move into Dragon Fly Pose (Maksikanagasana), also called as Grasshopper Pose. The Grasshopper Pose Flow is a combination of twist, a deeper hip opening, and an arm balance. The combination of all of the above help to ensure moving into the final posture in a safe way. The hips need to be warmed up well enough, the forearms and wrists need the strength to hold the body while in a twist, and the lower back needs to be flexible enough to move in a twist. The strength of the core muscles and pelvic floor muscles (when in a twist) help to remain in balance, with soft breathing. Yoga teachers generally work towards this flow including it as part of peak pose yoga sequence, to make the practice smooth and safe.

Bakasana (Crane pose), and the similar Kakasana (Crow pose) are balancing asanas in hatha yoga and modern yoga as exercise. In all variations, these are arm balancing poses in which hands are planted on the floor, shins rest upon upper arms, and feet lift up. The poses are often confused, but traditionally Kakasana has arms bent, Bakasana (the crane being the taller bird with longer legs) has the arms straight.
