“Nirvana Shatakam”
the timeless verses composed by Adi Shankaracharya, echo the eternal truth of Advaita — the realization that I am not the mind, nor the body… I am pure consciousness, Shivoham.
This particular musical rendition has been soulfully composed and choreographed by Dr. Dwaipayan Choudhury, and divinely rendered through the mesmerizing voice of Sreshthangsu Dutta. Payel basak and Dwaipayan's graceful performance and their artistry bring alive the depth of these sacred verses — serene, powerful, and transcendental.

With utmost reverence to the original creation, I have humbly re-choreographed this composition in my own expression, presenting it in the graceful language of Odissi. Through the sculptural movements, lyrical abhinaya, and rhythmic precision of this classical form, I attempt to translate philosophy into motion… silence into gesture… and self-realization into dance.
This is my offering — a prayer through movement, a surrender through rhythm.
As the music unfolds and the body dissolves into the spirit of the shloka, may we all experience that profound whisper of truth:
Chidananda Rupa Shivoham Shivoham…
