CLARIFICATION STATEMENT of Dquests Adventure Sports Academy

Dquests Adventure Sports Academy is a community of sports and adventure enthusiasts engaged in promoting and participating in activities including running, cycling, swimming, mountaineering, rock climbing, trekking, trail running and other adventure sports.
We are issuing this statement to place the facts on record and to clarify the position of the Academy regarding certain allegations and social-media content recently circulated by Mr. Arindam Banerjee concerning Mr. Avisek Tunga and Dquests Adventure Sports Academy.
Mr Arindam Banerjee became associated with our wider sports community as a friend and fellow sports enthusiast. During his association with us, he suggested that Dquests should have a YouTube channel to promote sports and adventure activities and to reach a wider audience. He voluntarily expressed his willingness to create videos for the Academy, and the proposal was accepted in good faith.
The video production work began in December 2025, initially on a voluntary and informal understanding, for the purpose of promoting the Academy’s activities. At that stage, there was no agreed professional fee, rate chart or fixed payment structure between Dquests Adventure Sports Academy and Mr. Banerjee. The understanding was that the videos would be created to support and promote the community’s activities, and Mr. Avisek Tunga had also expressed that if the channel generated monetisation in the future, the benefit could be shared with him.
Subsequently, in April 2026, Mr. Banerjee raised the issue of payment and stated that video production was his profession. In an attempt to maintain a cordial relationship and resolve the matter amicably, Mr. Avisek Tunga agreed to pay ₹1,000 per video.
Thereafter, in May 2026, disagreements arose regarding the amount claimed for videos already produced. Mr. Banerjee subsequently presented his own rate structure and demanded payment according to those rates. Attempts were made to resolve the matter through direct communication and through mutual acquaintances. A meeting was also proposed, but due to circumstances and scheduling difficulties, the meeting could not ultimately take place.
Dquests Adventure Sports Academy wishes to make it absolutely clear that any disagreement concerning payment for video production was a personal/business-level dispute and was never intended to become a public dispute or a campaign against any individual.
We further clarify the following:
• Dquests Adventure Sports Academy has never authorised, instructed or encouraged anyone to make false statements, defamatory allegations or personal attacks against Mr. Banerjee.
• The Academy does not support the use of social media for personal harassment, intimidation, character assassination or spreading unverified allegations.
• Any disagreement concerning professional fees should have been resolved through direct communication, mutual discussion or appropriate legal channels, rather than through public accusations.
• Dquests Adventure Sports Academy is a sports community, and its primary objective is to promote sports, adventure, fitness, camaraderie and responsible participation and not to become involved in personal disputes.
• The Academy has no intention of interfering with Mr. Banerjee’s professional activities or personal life.
We are particularly concerned that the recent social-media content appears to have expanded beyond the original disagreement and has involved allegations concerning Mr. Avisek Tunga’s professional identity and his association with Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology, as well as circulation among people connected with his professional, sporting and personal circles.
The Academy strongly condemns the escalation of the matter to social media, as well as the publication and circulation of content that appears to be defamatory, unverified, and intended to cause reputational harm. Such conduct is contrary to the principles of respect, responsibility, and sportsmanship that the Academy upholds.
We believe that all allegations should be examined on the basis of verifiable facts and evidence by the appropriate authority.
We therefore request everyone receiving or viewing such content not to further circulate, reproduce or amplify unverified allegations. Any person with a genuine grievance is encouraged to approach the appropriate forum and resolve the matter through lawful and responsible means.
Dquests Adventure Sports Academy remains committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive and positive sporting environment for all its members and associates.
This clarification is being issued solely to place the Academy’s position on record and to prevent misunderstanding arising from the circulation of social-media content.
