Many of us react to situations without realizing that our thoughts are acting like invisible filters.
In CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), we learn that:
Situation → Thought → Emotion → Behavior
The situation may be the same, but different thoughts can create very different emotional experiences.
Today's Practice:
Think of one situation that upset you recently.
Ask yourself:
What happened?
What thought went through my mind?
Is this thought 100% true?
What is another possible explanation?
Small shifts in thinking can create powerful shifts in emotional well-being.
Tell me in the comments: Have you ever realized that your first thought wasn't the whole truth?
