The year 2020 came with all sorts of calamities – a pandemic, a locust attack, a super-cyclone and a mild earthquake as well. Worst nightmares are coming true as people suffer from an unimaginable amount of misery. It might be a simple reminder of the mother nature herself of how ruthless she could be if we, mere mortals, don’t pay heed to the necessities of environment.

But all is not bad. There's still hope that good faith will prevail. There’s still rays of hope at the end of darkness. Today, on the occasion of World Environment Day, we, members of Himapathik, solemnly bind us for the cause of environment. The onus is upon us.....

Some glimpses of Buxa Lepchakha Jayanti trek, March 2020.

Himapthik has completed Buxa-Lepchakha-Jayanti trek successfully with 7 participants. Today the team returned to kolkata safely.

Our next trek to Buxa Jayanti is mostly on way. The scheduled departure from Kolkata is on 6th March 2020 and arrival to Kolkata on 11th March 2020. Till now we have 7 participants in total. Dr. Suman Naiya and Sneha Chattopadhyay are leading the program. We have 5 external participants till date. For any further clarity and question please reach out to the leaders. Himapathik has successfully completed Tonglu trek from 13-17th February 2020 with 16 participants. The activities involved were tent pitching and dismantling at Chitrey and garbage cleaning around Tonglu where all participants actively took part in all the activities. A lot of thanks to all the participants and the supporting staff.
