|| INDIA DID IT. CAN PAKISTAN? ||
Twelve years ago, we watched India struggle in England.
They had lost the Test series 3–1, and it could easily have been remembered as another disappointing overseas campaign. But instead of panicking, India looked at the bigger picture. BCCI strenthened the coaching structure, head coach Duncan Fletcher was retained, Ravi Shastri was brought as Team Director, Sanjay Bangar as Batting Coach, R. Sridhar for Fielding and Bharat Arun for Bowling. That difficult tour became one of the starting points of what Indian cricket would become over the next decade.
Now, in August 2026, we look at Pakistan and see a familiar crossroads — but a very different response.
Coaches being sidelined, leadership changing, players arriving amid uncertainty, and a cricketing structure seemingly pulled in different directions. The talent is there. The history is there. The passion is certainly there. But talent alone cannot build a great cricketing nation.
Pakistan doesn't need another quick fix. It needs stability, clarity, strong leadership and a system everyone believes in.
India turned a crisis into a foundation.
Now, Pakistan must decide what it wants to build from its own.
Because the question isn't whether Pakistan has the talent to rise. It's whether they have the system to make it happen.
