FROM THE HEART: WHY THE NAGALAND SUPER LEAGUE MEANS EVERYTHING TO US 💙⚽

I've been thinking about how to put this into words for days now. As someone who's grown up kicking footballs and dreaming of something bigger for Nagaland football, watching the Nagaland Super League unfold has been nothing short of emotional.

Remember when we used to say "imagine if..." about professional football in our state? Well, we don't have to imagine anymore. The NSL isn't just a tournament, it's become the heartbeat of a new sporting culture in Nagaland.

What gets me the most isn't just the quality of football (though that's been AMAZING). It's seeing young players who might never have had a platform suddenly playing under floodlights with crowds chanting their names. It's watching kids in the stands with stars in their eyes, finally seeing heroes who look like them, who come from the same streets and villages.

And beyond the pitch, there are folks who've found their first real jobs through the NSL: from event managers, media teams to hospitality staff, people whose talents might have gone unnoticed without this platform. A real good opportunity for the local businesses around the venues even in the future editions.

To the visionaries at the Nagaland Football Association who refused to accept that "it can't be done here", thank you for your courage. To the Government of Nagaland and the Department of Youth Resources & Sports who backed this dream, this investment in our youth will pay dividends for generations. To every sponsor who believed in this, every volunteer who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and every fan who showed up with your voice and heart, you've all helped write a new chapter in the books of Nagaland Football history.

This is just the beginning. I can already see the NSL growing, nurturing youth academies in every district, discovering talent from the remotest corners of our state, and maybe someday sending Naga players to the biggest stages in world football.

For now though, I'm just grateful. Grateful that our younger one won't have to just dream about professional football, they can touch it, feel it, and be part of it right here at home.

With a full heart,
Naga Football ⚽

The silence from the NFA since the introduction of the NSL has been concerning. To truly attract talent and engage an audience, consistent publicity and communication are essential. Unfortunately, the team has not posted or shared anything, leaving fans and supporters in the dark.

From the very beginning, the approach felt rushed, and now it seems our concerns were valid. The exhibition match scheduled for tomorrow hasn’t been promoted at all—no updates, no details, no excitement.

As passionate supporters of football in Nagaland, we genuinely want to see the sport thrive. But without proper engagement, it’s hard to build the community and spirit that football deserves here. We hope this is addressed because the potential is enormous, and the fans deserve better.

Another heartbreaker for the Nagaland Blues! 💔

Despite a valiant effort, the team short against Arunachal Pradesh 4-3.

It's disappointing to see it end like this. But I hope that NSL will provide our players with the platform they need to reach their full potential.
