Either one has to be a sincere student who listens to their teacher, a loyal follower who listens to their leader, a devoted fan who listens to their idol, or a true devotee who listens to their deity. You do none of these.

Yet you expect others to listen to you. Your teacher, leader, idol, or deity may not tell you directly that you are being foolish, but their silence should not be mistaken for approval. Sometimes, those we look up to need not say a word for us to realise that our attitude is misguided.
