“Middle class minds build rules…”
People growing up in middle-class environments are often taught to prioritize security, stability, and responsibility. So they create mental rules like:
* “Don’t take too much risk”
* “Stick to a safe job”
* “Don’t chase unrealistic dreams”
* “Save more, spend less”
These rules aren’t bad—they come from real-life struggles, fear of financial instability, and the need to survive.
“…then live trapped inside them.”
The problem starts when these rules become limitations instead of guidance. Over time:
* Fear of failure becomes stronger than desire for success
* Comfort zones become permanent
* Opportunities are ignored because they feel “too risky”
* People stop questioning whether those rules still make sense
So instead of using rules as a safety net, they become a mental cage.
