J&K Police Wrestler Ishaq Ahmed (Lallu) lifts 16th Sarna Dangal Title 2024..
Wrestler Ishaq Ahmed (Lallu) of J&K Police lifted “16th annual Dangal title 2024 by defeating wrestler Abhinayak of U.P in the first malli bout that lasted for 08 minutes at village Sarna in Reasi District.
Winner of 1st malli bout wrestler Ishaq Ahmed was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 41,000/- along with “Mata Ki Chunari” while runner-up wrestler Abhinayak got Rs. 30,000/-
BJP District Reasi President and social activist Rohit Dubey graced the occasion as chief guest who gave away the cash prizes among thewrestlers. He also contributed Rs. 31,000/ as financial assistance to the organizers.
Former Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council and President Kreeda Bharti Jammu and Kashmir presided over the function. BJP Mandal Pardhan Panthal and DDC member Rajinder Mengi, Retired ZEO Dhan Raj, Pandit Tara Chand, Ved Pujari, and former Sarpanch Jugal Kishore (Bablu) were the guests of honour.
2ND malli bout was won by Wrestler Surjit Singh of J&K Police, resident of Reasi who defeated wrestler Usman of Mathura (U.P). Winner wrestler Surjit Singh was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 18,000. while runner-up Usman got Rs. 13,000/-
3RD malli bout was won by Nadeem of J&K Police of Doda who defeated Munish of Khanna in Punjab. Winner Wrestler Nadeem was awarded with cash prize of Rs.15,000/- while runner-up wrestler Munsish got Rs. 10,000/-
Another 3RD malli bout was won by Maam Hussain of Domel who defeated Chandi of Maharashtra winner Maam Hussain was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 12,000/- while runner-up wrestler Chandi got Rs. 9,000/-. 106 wrestlers participated in the one day long dangal in which 53 bouts
were played and an amount of Rs. 3,70,000/- distributed in the shape of cash prizes among the wrestlers by chief guest Rohit Dubey and Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Members of Sarna Dangal Committee who helped in smooth conduct of Dangal included Som Raj (President), Ram Singh Numberdar, Balwant Singh, Sat Paul Sharma, Karnail Singh, Ravi Kumar, Falail Singh, Des Raj, Om Parkash, Bir Bahadur Singh, Puran Chand, Abdul Rehman Panch, Bashir Ahmed, Angrej Singh, Varun Sharma, Kartar Sharma, Munshi Ram, Dhara Singh, Nayaj Ali, Tirath Ram Sharma, Kamal Sharma and former Sarpanch Onkar Singh.
The bouts were officiated by Mohd Shrief, Rajinder Kumar Ramotra, Harbans Lal, Raj Singh, Tulinder Kumar, proceedings were conducted by Sunny Sharma,Pawan Singh and Anil Kumar of Reasi.
