7th Srinagar District Rope Skipping Championship 2026 Concludes Successfully

Srinagar, May 20:
The two-day 7th Srinagar District Rope Skipping Championship 2026 concluded successfully at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Khanyar, Srinagar, witnessing enthusiastic participation from more than 200 boys and girls representing various institutions across the district.

On the concluding day, Principal GHSS Khanyar Madam Wahida Sheikh, along with Syed Shazia Abbass (Physical Education Lecturer), Rouf Ahmad Khan (Physical Education Master) and senior faculty members, distributed medals, mementos and trophies among the winners and participants.

Vision School of Education, Lal Bazar emerged as the Overall Champions, while Green Valley Educational Institute, Elahi Bagh secured the Runners-up position, followed by Delhi Public Montessori School, Gasoo, which finished third in the medal tally.

The championship was organised by the Association of J&K Skipping Rope (AJKSR), affiliated with the Indian Rope Skipping Federation (IRSF) and supported by Mehboob Ul Alam Cricket Club (MACC).

The organisers appreciated the participation of schools and athletes and expressed hope that the championship would further promote rope skipping as a competitive sport among the youth of the district.

Drug Awareness Programme Held at wisdom public high school Noorbagh baghwanpora near hanfiya masjid, Srinagar
Srinagar, may 4th, 2026:
A Drug Awareness Programme was successfully conducted today at wisdom public high school, Noorbagh baghwanpora near hanfiya masjid, Srinagar. The programme was organized by Noora-ul-Ismail Trust Youth Club Srinagar in collaboration with the Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department, Srinagar.support of JKCIP
The primary aim of the programme was to educate students and participants about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among the youth.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers, making it highly interactive and impactful. Speakers highlighted the growing concern of substance abuse and emphasized the importance of awareness, prevention, and community responsibility.

Throwball Women’s Cup 2026 Concludes at GHSS Zadibal

Srinagar April 29:- The two days Throwball Women’s Cup 2026 concluded at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Zadibal, with enthusiastic participation from 14 government and private institutions of Kashmir Division.

In the thrilling final match, GHSS Zadibal defeated R. P. School Lawaypora by 2-1 and lifted the championship title.

Before the declaration of the tournament, a pledge under the initiative of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was taken by all athletes, coaches and managers.

Jenab Mohammad Shafi Lone, Principal GHSS Zadibal, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Riyaz Wani, President Swim N Survive Society, Manzoor Ahmad (PEM-GHSS Zadibal), members of Sports Committee attended as the Special Guests. They distributed trophies, medals, mementos and certificates among the winners and runners-up.

Members of the J&K 7 Side Throwball Association present on the occasion included Sahil Ali Beigh, Mohammad Sufiyan, Muskan and Rizwana.

The tournament was organized by the J&K 7 Side Throwball Association with august support from Saving the Future (NGO) Legends School and Shugul Event Organization.
