The route is Brutal and the Terrain is a Stellar Killer.... it's a true test of endurance to all extremities. The entire loop post start from Kalpa is always over the altitudes of 3000 meters for the entire 420 kms crossing 2 high passes Kunzum (16000 F) and Rohtang (13000).The Terrain starts with Green Apple Orchards of Kinnaur and soon transforms to Barren Mountain Deserts in Spiti and Lahaul

Spiti Valley is located high in the Himalayas in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The spectacular valley is situated on the India-Tibet border. Spiti Valley is a high-altitude, trans-Himalayan land which is a dry and cold desert, has snow-capped mountain peaks, ancient monasteries, rough terrains, coloured face-rocks, pristine emerald lakes, narrow passes and frozen glaciers. The valley originates from the 16,000 feet high Kunzum pass and is often referred to as ‘the middle land’ – meaning the land between India and Tibet or the land surrounded by mountain ranges on all the sides. Spiti River, originating from the east of the Kunzum Pass, flows through the centre of Spiti Valley, giving its name to the valley and the district. You will run through numerous rivulets ,Old army bridges connecting villages ,World's highest Post office at Hikkim Village at 14467 feet. Challenges of the Run -
With 40%-60% thinning of air makes the run really tough .High Altitude , Freezing Temperatures during the evenings and nights makes it difficult to rest. Melting Glaciers throws in numerous water crossings en-route which becomes quite a mass full post mid-day when the sun is beating down with full flow. Loneliness and and only The Barren desert Mountains and Spiti River to cheer you makes it a perfect Solo run to cherish life long. Kunzum Pass at 16000 Feet and Rohtang Pass at 13000 Feet just 56 Kms before the Finish Line will keep the thrill fresh till the end.
