Proud to Shanti Rai securing a 1st position in age category (36-45) in the Chief Minister 5Km Run organised under the auspicious of the SKM Sports Wing, in collaboration with the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Sikkim, to commemorate National Sports Day and honour the enduring legacy of legendary Indian Hockey player Major Dhyan chand.

The event 5Km Chief Minister Run served as a powerful celebration of sportsmanship, discipline, fitness, unity and healthy living to strengthening Sikkim's sporting culture .

Congratulations to all the members of Sikkim Green Hill Runners for proudly participating in the Tsomgu Ultra Marathon 5.0 held at Gangtok on 8th March 2026. It was a great achievement and a proud moment for our team to be part of such a challenging and inspiring marathon event.

A special congratulations to Shanti Gurung (Rai), who is not only an Ambassador of our team but also secured 2nd position in the 42 km Open Female Category, making the entire team proud with her outstanding performance.

Congratulations to Sikkim Green Hill Runners for their inspiring participation in the Dragon Run 1.0 held at the beautiful Temi Tea Estate on 22nd February 2026. The event, proudly organized by the 3rd IRB Battalion, was a grand celebration of endurance, unity, and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to Sikkim Green Hill Runners for their enthusiastic participation in the Burtuk Run 2026, successfully held on 14 February 2026.
The Burtuk Run 2026 was conducted smoothly and in a spirited atmosphere on Saturday morning, witnessing the participation of over 800 runners across multiple categories. The event was organised by Ranka Sporting Club at Khel Gaon, Resh*thang, near Gangtok.
The marathon featured 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km (Half Marathon) categories, with attractive cash prizes awarded to podium finishers. The event was graced by Raju Basnet, Hon’ble Sports Minister of Sikkim, as the Chief Guest.
Adding to the prestige of the run, Chief Patron and Upper Burtuk MLA Kala Rai actively joined the runners. She was accompanied by Raj Kumari Thapa, along with MLAs Aditya Golay and Pamin Lepcha, reflecting strong support from public representatives for sports and fitness initiatives in the state.
Special moments of inspiration were shared as MLA Kala Rai and Amar S***a, fondly known as the Marathon Man of Sikkim, expressed their thoughts and encouragement, motivating runners and youth to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle.
