Proud Moment for Kalimpong ‼️

Kalimpong has yet another reason to celebrate as two of its talented young footballers have earned the opportunity to represent Mohammedan Sporting Club in the prestigious Durand Cup 2026, the oldest football tournament in Asia.
Arpit Chettri (20), hailing from Butchery, East Main Road, Kalimpong, and Passang Tamang (19) from Mangzing, Gorubathan, have been included in the Mohammedan Sporting Club squad for this historic competition.
Their selection is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and perseverance, while also highlighting the growing footballing talent emerging from the Kalimpong hills. Representing one of India's most iconic football clubs on such a prestigious stage is a remarkable achievement and an inspiration for countless young footballers across the region.
The entire football fraternity of Kalimpong extends its heartfelt congratulations to Arpit and Passang and wishes them the very best for a successful Durand Cup campaign. May they continue to make Kalimpong proud with their performances and inspire the next generation of footballers.

Independence Shield Knockout Football Tournament 2026.

The Independence Shield Knockout Football Tournament 2026 got underway in style at Mela Ground, Kalimpong, with ASC Bangalore registering a 2-1 victory over local side NBFA in the inaugural match on Saturday.
ASC Bangalore produced a disciplined performance to begin their campaign on a winning note, while NBFA fought hard but fell just short despite enjoying home support.
Rabin Mangar of ASC Bangalore was adjudged the Man of the Match for his outstanding display, playing a key role in his side's opening victory.
The tournament has officially begun, promising more exciting knockout football action in the days ahead.

Kumudini Homes 'A' stormed into the final of the Independence Day Inter School Football Tournament with a commanding 6-1 victory over Teesta Bridge HS School in the first semi-final.
Silvanus Rai and Lenchyo Lepcha starred with a sensational hat-tricks to complete a dominant attacking display for Kumudini Homes 'A'. Teesta Bridge HS School managed a consolation goal through Subham Mansuri, but it was not enough to halt Kumudini's march to the final.

Hill Women's League Cum Knockout 2026.

DFAK (Kalimpong) secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over St. Philomena School (Kalimpong) in an exciting Hill Women's League Cum Knockout fixture at Mela Ground on Saturday.
Pandimith Lepcha and Angela Bhutia found the back of the net to hand DFAK all three points, while Lamuen Tamang scored the lone goal for St. Philomena School in a spirited contest.
For her outstanding performance throughout the match, Marya Shrestha of DFAK was adjudged the Player of the Match.
