A MOMENT OF PRIDE & RECOGNITION

Supriya Gurung, Sushanna Rai, and Palmu Tamang were honoured with a Certificate of Appreciation and a cash award of ₹1 lakh each for representing West Bengal at the National Games and helping secure a Bronze Medal.

The honour was presented on the occasion of the 15th National Sports Day Celebration at Nabanna Sabhaghar, Howrah, in the august presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Suvendu Adhikari.

Supriya Gurung and Sushanna Rai received the honour at the ceremony, while Palmu Tamang could not be present as she is currently undergoing training at PTC,Salua.

From the hills to the national stage, their hard work, dedication, and perseverance continue to inspire a new generation of girls to dream bigger.

We were honoured to welcome Ma’am Anjali Thapa, Principal of Gyanoday Niketan, and Ma’am Lalita Tamang, former Assistant Teacher of Loreto Convent, Darjeeling, both esteemed members of the Inner Wheel Club of Darjeeling, to our academy.

Their visit and generous financial contribution towards the welfare of our trainees is a gesture we deeply value. More than the contribution, it is the thoughtfulness, encouragement, and belief in our girls that truly humbles us.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ma’am Anjali Thapa, Ma’am Lalita Tamang, and all the members of the Inner Wheel Club of Darjeeling for standing with our young footballers and supporting their journey.

Today, the academy witnessed something truly special.
Members of the St. Joseph’s Convent Pool Vehicle Welfare Association visited us and generously contributed healthy ration items and essential supplies for our hostel.
But what touched us most was not just what they brought, it was the thought behind it.

They thought of our girls. They thought about their lives in the hostel. They saw a way to help and they stepped forward. That is what community means.
One thought. One gesture. One shared belief and suddenly, a young girl's journey feels a little less lonely.

To every member of the St. Joseph’s Convent Pool Vehicle Welfare Association, thank you for believing in our girls and becoming a part of their journey.
Your kindness is more than a contribution.
It is encouragement. It is belonging. It is hope.

Not every victory is measured by a trophy.

Sometimes, it is measured by the dreams you ignite, the barriers you break, and the hearts you inspire.

Today, St. Philomena's Girls' HS School stood together to honour a group of extraordinary young girls who carried not only the school crest but the hopes of an entire district onto the biggest stage of school football in West Bengal.

From the classrooms of Kalimpong to the Pre Subroto Cup State Championship Final, they fought with courage, resilience, and unwavering belief. Every sprint, every tackle, every save, every goal was a testament to months of sacrifice and countless hours of hard work.

They return home as State Runners Up, but to us, they are far more than finalists. They are history makers. They have shown every young girl that dreams are worth chasing and that wearing the school colours is a responsibility to be cherished.

This felicitation is not just a celebration of a remarkable campaign,it is a perfect tribute to their dedication, their fighting spirit, and the legacy they have created for the generations that will follow.

Today, our girls return home as
Pre Subroto Cup State Championship 2026 Runners-Up, but in our hearts, they are champions.

Reaching the State Final is no small achievement. It is the result of months of sacrifice, discipline, and constant belief. These young girls balanced school examinations, classroom responsibilities, and demanding football training sessions,all while chasing a dream. For 16-year-old students, carrying the demands of academics and competitive sport is never easy, yet they faced every challenge with courage, maturity, and determination.

From the district level to becoming North Bengal Champions and then earning a place in the State Championship Final, they fought for every ball, every tackle, and every minute on the pitch. They represented St. Philomena's Girls HS School, Kalimpong, their district, and the football-loving hills with immense pride and dignity. Their journey is proof that dreams can be achieved when talent meets hard work and perseverance.

We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to St. Philomena's Girls HS School, Kalimpong, for its constant support and belief in girls' football. The encouragement of the Principal, teachers, and the entire school community has played a vital role in this journey. By creating an environment where young athletes are encouraged to pursue excellence both in the classroom and on the football field, the school has shown that education and sport can go hand in hand. This achievement belongs not only to the players but also to every member of the school who stood behind them and made this dream possible.

Another Proud Moment for Our Academy.
We are delighted to celebrate another remarkable achievement of Palmu Tamang, a trainee from the first batch of Debanjan Share Girls' Academy.
Hailing from Bishnulal Gaon, Mirik, Palmu is the eldest daughter of Mr. Govind Tamang and Mrs. Sushma Tamang. She has been appointed as a Constable in the West Bengal Police under the Medal Winner Sportsperson Category, a well-deserved recognition of her dedication, discipline, and excellence in football.
Palmu was a proud member of the West Bengal Women's Team that won the Bronze Medal at the 38th National Games held in Uttarakhand. Throughout her journey, she has consistently displayed outstanding leadership, commitment, and passion for the game.
She captained our academy team, DSGA Invention FCC, to the Kanyashree-B Championship title and later went on to lead the West Bengal Police Team as captain in the Kanyashree-A tournament, further proving her leadership qualities on the field.
Palmu's inspiring journey is a testament to what determination, hard work, and perseverance can achieve. She continues to be a role model for every young footballer dreaming of success both in sports and in life.
Congratulations, Palmu, We are immensely proud of your achievements and wish you continued success in your career with the West Bengal Police and in all your future endeavors.

Proud Moment for Debanjan Share Girls’ Academy

We are proud to announce that Kanchan Sewa from Gitdabling, a trainee at Debanjan Share Girls’ Academy and a student of St. Philomena’s Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Kalimpong, has been selected for the prestigious AIFF–FIFA Talent Academy, Hyderabad, Telangana.

Hailing from Gitdabling, Kanchan was identified by academy officials after beginning her football journey with UGFC, Gitdabling, where she was first introduced to the sport.

After joining the academy in 2025, her dedication, discipline, focus, and hard work led her to earn selection to the Bengal U-17 Team for the Dr. Talimeren Ao Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2025–26 (Tier 1), where the Bengal team achieved an outstanding Runners-up (Silver Medal) finish.

She also represented the academy in the RFYS [Reliance Foundation Youth Sports]Kolkata Championship, where the team once again finished as runners-up.

Her selection in this elite football development program is a moment of immense pride and inspiration for everyone associated with the academy. We are excited about her journey ahead and confident that she will continue to make us proud.
